Synopsis
“Achieve what it is you desire.”
Eons ago, a group of Heroes fought against the Forces of Destruction to save the world. Then, as time passed, they entrusted their power to members of the younger generation called “Successors” before passing on in order to protect the future.
Falia, a Successor and member of the Seven Knights, rescues a boy named Nemo during a battle against an invading Destruction army.
During the fray, Nemo unwittingly evokes the power of a Hero and becomes a Successor himself. However, the power he inherited has never been seen before.
Thus, an epic journey where the past and present collide is about to unfold...
Characters & Voice Actors
Nemo: Taiki Yamashita
A boy who contracted with a yet-unknown Hero. Born in a remote village, he was only accepted into Granseed Academy due to possessing the power of a Successor. He would have never known anything of the outside world had he never left his village. Nemo is a simple, good-natured boy without a special pedigree of any kind.
Falia: Hibiku Yamamura
A descendant of the ancient Hero Eunomia, who fought against the Forces of Destruction to save the world long ago, Falia draws on her power in battle. She leads the Seven Knights, who stand at the peak of Granseed Academy. It was Falia who sensed a special power within Nemo during a skirmish in the outskirts and brought him onto the Seven Knights.
Eren: Kana Hanazawa
A member of the Seven Knights and Falia’s closest friend. Eager to distance herself from responsibility and the last one to disturb the status quo, Eren sees herself as the girl with the least initiative at the Academy. She is the Successor to the Hero Vanessa, an ancient, extremely powerful warlock who was known as the “Ruler of the Sands of Time.” While a liability in close-quarters combat, her healing magic makes her an invaluable member of the Seven Knight’s backup staff.
Gareth: Yuichiro Umebara
An elf and a member of the Seven Knights, he is more socially distant than his human counterparts. Despite his curt demeanor, his passion for their mission is second to none. Successor to the Magic Knight Chris, also known as the “Conqueror of Darkness,” he combines his own training with a magically infused blade and the power he inherited from the ancient Hero on the battlefield.
Joe: Shunsuke Takeuchi
A boxing enthusiast, Joe is the young athlete of the Seven Knights. Proud to follow in his father’s footsteps as a Successor, he has no qualms about laying down his life in battle to protect people from Physis. Inheriting the “Blazing Arctic Heart” Spike’s power, Joe can manipulate ice at will and pulverizes all enemies in his path.
Gildan: Yuya Hozumi
Until Nemo joined the Seven Knights, Gildan was the newest member of the group. He is known for building friendships with anyone and everyone like a cute little animal, but is particularly close with Joe. A prince from the small kingdom of beast people, his people expect a great deal of him as both a hero and the future of their race. Successor to the Dragoon Jave, defense is his forte.
Shirly: Manami Numakura
The straight arrow of the Seven Knights, Shirly is in charge of Granseed Academy’s moral committee, which is in charge of maintaining order within its walls. As a firm believer in rules and regulations, she is extremely skeptical when Nemo appears out of nowhere. Successor to the “Immortal Empress” Rachel, she is a mid-range fighter with both high-powered fire attacks and rapid self-healing magic at her disposal.
Genius: Takahiro Sakurai
A Hero who once fought alongside Eunomia against Destruction in the Eclipse Era as well as a founding member and the first librarian of Granseed Academy. He was purged from history after a dishonorable death, but guidance from the Goddess Seras brought him into the present day where he encounters Nemo and gains a chance for redemption.
Eunomia: Yu Shimamura
A Hero who boldly fought the forces of evil at every turn as a founding member of Granseed Academy, even before the first Successor inherited power. The first member of the Seven Knights, she is greatly revered in the Light Empire and also Falia’s ancestor.
Vanessa: Yukari Tamura
Despite being born to a warlock, she was forbidden to study magic during her youth. However, she accidentally broke a seal while dabbling in the art on her own. Thus, she became a vassal for the previously hidden away Sands of Time. It was the first step in her long journey to becoming a powerful warlock.
Chris: Toshiyuki Morikawa
A member of the Seven Knights who made the Avenger’s Hell his domain. Once a nobleman who strove to fulfil his destiny as a Hero, he was dragged into a war with the Knights of Light along with his best friend and fellow Seven Knights member Luty. Striking a deal with the devil to extract revenge, he has since come to rule hell itself.
Spike: Kentarou Itou
A member of the Seven Knights who resides in the Frozen Tundra. Wielding a massive axe and ice magic, the half-human, half-ice fairy known as the “Arctic Heart” learned empathy through an epic battle and became the strongest warrior the world has ever known.
Jave: Rika Matsumoto
A member of the Seven Knights. Abandoned by humanity, he was raised by dragons and their protective deity in the Dragon Ruins. Learning human words as he protected the Ruins growing up, he overcame his hatred of the race by journeying alongside them. He now governs the Dragon Ruins as a protective deity himself.
Rachel: Satomi Arai
A member of the Seven Knights. Ruling the Inferno Desert, she has become an immortal entity in her own right and leads the flame empowered Agni Clan. A blood oath has given her access to the Agni Clan’s primordial flame. She has a long-standing relationship with Aileen of the Seven Knights.
