Synopsis
The hero Red became unable to keep up with the battles on the frontlines. One of his companions, a sage, accuses him of “not being a true companion” and kicks him out of the party because he is too weak.
“Ahhh... Things were really rough back then.” Unaware that the party is in a panic over losing him, Red chooses to move on with his life and is beaming with excitement after deciding to open his own herbalist shop on the frontier.
Then, out of the blue, a princess who he once partied with comes to pay him a visit. “I wonder if I could work here too…? As a live-in!”
Running a casual, fun herbalist shop and living a lovey-dovey life with a tomboy princess sounds like a wonderful second life for the unrewarded hero ー and he can’t wait for it to begin!

Red (Gideon): Ryota Suzuki
A D-rank adventurer from the frontier town of Zoltan who aims to lead a peaceful life. He runs his own herbalist shop and earns his livelihood by collecting and selling herbs. He was once a member of the Hero’s party and had the Divine Blessing of the Guide, which he used to protect the Hero on their journeys.
Rit: Kanon Takao
A B-rank adventurer from the frontier town of Zoltan and an old friend of Gideon’s. She hears about a person named “Red” who she thinks might be Gideon from the Adventurers’ Guild, and decides to pay a visit to his newly opened shop. She ends up moving in with Gideon and spends her days helping him run the shop.
Ruti: Naomi Ozora
Gideon’s younger sister. She has the Divine Blessing of the Hero, so she is destined to seek out and subdue the Demon Lord. She is exceptionally powerful but her human emotions are limited by the Divine Blessing, as they are deemed unnecessary for the Hero.
Yarandrala: Sora Amamiya
A high elf who is Gideon’s close friend on and off the battlefield. She was born in a mysterious forest where it is said that once you enter, you can never leave. She has been bestowed the Divine Blessing of the Singer of the Trees, which allows her to talk to plants and control them.
Ares: Taku Yashiro
A member of the Hero’s party and the bearer of the Divine Blessing of the Sage. While intelligent and talented as a mage, he suffers from an excess of pride and ambition. He kicks Gideon out of the party and lies to the other members, telling them that he left of his own volition.
Albert: Kohei Amasaki
A rare B-rank adventurer from the frontier town of Zoltan. He holds the "Champion", a hero's blessing that makes one overcome difficulties and accomplish outstanding achievements. However, he is impatient because of the "Champion" as he feels like he needs to meet the expectations and show his power as a hero.
Gonze: Masahiro Yamanaka
A half-elf carpenter working in the frontier town of Zoltan and a close friend of Red. He has a daring personality and sophisticated skill as a craftsman. He looks after his sister's family, especially his nephew Tanta.
Tanta: Yuu Serizawa
Son of Gonze's sister Nao and Mido, and likes Red. Does not have his blessings yet but seeks to be a carpenter like Gonze in the future. One day, he starts to suffer from a cataract disease which can make him blind.
