    Shiro Sagisu Profile

    Born in Tokyo in 1957, Shiro Sagisu is a composer, arranger, and music producer with an extraordinary 48-year career at the forefront of the music scene, which began with his work on T-SQUARE’s debut album.

    Over a partnership spanning more than 30 years with Hideaki Anno, he has contributed to every entry in the Evangelion series, earning a devoted global fanbase.

    He is also President and CEO of the tokusatsu and animation production company P-Productions, succeeding his father, Soji Ushio (1921–2004). In recent years, he arranged “Kimigayo,” Japan’s national anthem, for the opening ceremony of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
