Today, August 11th the New e-sports place "eXeFIELD AKIBA" has opened in Akihabara.
So the Honey's Anime team went and played there!
eXeFIELD AKIBA is in the UDX building, the biggest landmark in Akihabara and is situated in a very clean and futuristic room with state-of-the-art gaming and internet high technology, due to NTTe-Sports, which is the subsidiary of NTT group, one of the biggest telecommunication companies in Japan.
What We Can Do There?
Before entering, entrants must pay an hourly fee, and those fees differ depending on how long you plan on staying.
Once you’re all set up, you can sit down and use one of the high-spec PCs available. You’re free to login with Discord or any other applications, along with Steam, for which you can connect your account to install any games on the PC.
Of course, you can play a variety of games online and you can play with teams or battle against them if you come with your friends.
Actually, we made a steam account, bought Street Fighter V, and installed it to play the match!
The most appealing point compared to the other e-sports space is that prominent Japan FGC event leader Kaggechi-san(@kagecchi79) is there.
He is one of the individuals who has committed himself entirely to the Fighting Game Community so that many gamers, especially fighting game enthusiasts, respect his skill and personality. He loves games, game companies and gaming communities, and so for that reason he decided to develop this space for offline and online play, and so that he could respond with his kindness as much as possible.
Though it's hard to visit Japan and attend this brand new e-sports space under the current COVID-19 situation, eXeFIELD AKIBA welcomes everyone with taking care of hygiene individually. See you in the settled and happy world, gamers!
