It’s an inevitable element in almost any genre that eventually, at some point, an anime will copy something from another anime. Many anime have similar stories or themes so this isn’t that bizarre but it does make for some interesting “ah ha” moments! In a recent episode of The World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat is our focus today here at Honey’s Anime for copying another isekai series but in general being a fun episode that still made us want to discuss it a bit!
The Moisturizer Scandal!
In pursuit of keeping his identity hidden—and proving he’s a truly smart businessman—Lugh is still going by the name of Illig Balor and has just acquired from his new “family” a new shop to sell goods in. However, Lugh/Illig knows that just selling the usual goods famous in town won’t do much and he creates a plan that accidentally takes from episode 3 of Drug Store in Another World-The Slow Life of a Cheat Pharmacist.
Lugh ends up creating moisturizer just like Reiji does in Cheat Pharmacist. We make it sound like the show copied and pasted this idea in episode 7 of World’s Finest Assassin but it’s a small concept that really is harmless just intriguing. Maybe Lugh jumped into the mind of Reiji and channeled his inner pharmaceutical power!
Plus, let’s also ask another question, does this fantasy world really lack something as common as moisturizer? Lugh lives in a world filled with advanced magic yet they don’t make something so common? We won’t deny that it seems a bit of a stretch that, like Cheat Pharmacist, Lugh’s new world also doesn’t have such a simple invention? Though it is laughable they try to make it sound so secretive.
Lugh Is a Good Guy
Despite being a “coldblooded” assassin in both this new life and his previous, we noticed that Lugh is secretly a pretty nice fellow. Not only does Lugh give his newest girl a role to play in his newly acquired shop but he also had allowed her to take her friends and let them work there as well. Yes, Lugh might have an ulterior motive for this “kindness” but we can’t help but notice he’s changing from his original demeanor as the series progresses.
The Harem is Building
Probably one of the funnier elements to episode 7 of The World’s Finest Assassin is we’re seeing Lugh’s team grow in a very harem-orientated way. He now has three girls to assist him and they all seem to want him in various ways. There’s even a laugh-out-loud moment in the final moments where both Maha and Tarte tell Lugh they will perform sexual duties for him seeing as how he’s a growing young man. Lugh…our jealousy for you is growing with each episode.
Maha “The Trainee Killer”
Lastly, let’s look back on the newest girl Maha. After a heartbreaking 6th episode, Maha has seemed to grow accustomed to Lugh and his “assassin” duties as she’s already a pretty capable killer. Maha even has a tight sneaking suit to assist Lugh in his duties in. We can’t wait to see Maha in future episodes as we think she’s a truly beautiful, sexy, and dangerous new addition to Lugh’s team.
Final Thoughts
The recent episodes of The World’s Finest Assassin have been a real treat as we get to see Maha in action, witness Lugh’s business skills, and notice that Cheat Pharmacist may have had some influence in this anime.
