In this week’s episode of Demi-cahn wa Kataritai, we learn more about the life of Saki Satou and the difficulties of being a succubus and finding true love. Everything starts out interesting as we see a side of Saki-san that almost makes you feel surprised that she has erotic feelings (but then she was drunk) for Takahashi-sensei and her whole predicament in finding true love with him without feeling her aphrodisiac effect influencing it. Takahashi-sensei and Saki-san do meet up per her request to talk about this topic and whether a succubus can ever find true love at all. This is all influenced by Ugaki-san who seems more like a father-figure to Saki-san than an agent of the Demi-human Division who makes sure they aren’t using their abilities for their own gain.

In addition, Yuki and Kyouko are working together to help Hikari study and raise her grades in the proficiency exam, as Hikari is lacking in the studying department… Everyone expects Yuki to be the smartest but, in fact, Kyouko surprises them all with the highest grade out of the three. But the moment here that I want to talk about is when we find out Yuki is into cheesy jokes and dirty manga. And to our surprise, Saki-san is right there with her. I guess this moment kind of extends into other moments, but just the fact that she is into that sort of stuff when she is perceived as a cute conservative child is an eye-opener! My favorite part is when they are exchanging manga in the teachers room as if their exchanging drugs or illegal content.

The more the show goes on, the more and more we learn about the girls and fall in love with them all over as each episode releases! I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Okay so yeah there is the whole scene where Hanabi gets rejected by Narumi (saw it coming) and the scene where Mugi scores with Akane (also saw it coming). While it was still god for this week, the real standout moment was between Atsuya and Sanae (Ecchan). We learn that this derpy guy is not only KY, but also is the cousin of Sanae.

While it is not unheard of to hear of relatives in series, siblings are usually the only ones we see. Not to mention too he is in love with her, but he is persistent. He knows that Sanae has someone but he is still committed to getting her as his girlfriend. Now while this does break laws in most civilized places of the world, save for some seedy parts of the deep south, what is really shocking, or rather is actually pretty cool, is that Sanae turns him down by expressing that her crush is actually a girl and she probably does not even like guys. She calls him “houkouonchi” or “a person with no sense of direction”, but it should totally be more like “a person who has no sense whatsoever.” He’s pretty tactless, but he is still interested in who she likes, asks questions, and says that he supports her.

Anime has been getting better recently when it comes to social issues, but the best part is how they talk about how gender is not really an issue. It’s amazing that it takes an animated series to get across what millions of people have been saying for years and years. Interesting that it takes a raunchy show like Kuzu no Honkai to do it.

The second season of Super Lovers so far has had its dramatic moments, but in this week’s episode, we start really getting into the underlying issues the Kaidou family has. We see Haru’s mental health deteriorate as he struggles with the upcoming anniversary of the accident, leading him to drink himself to sleep, only to experience haunting nightmares. We see Ren’s desperation to stay by Haru’s side more than ever, and his struggle to understand their unique relationship.

There were plenty of great moments in episode eight, but for me the most significant is when Natsuo notices the bite marks on Ren’s neck. You learn so much just from this one brief scene. As Natsuo realises, the truth isn’t that Haru doesn’t want to have sex with Ren, but that he’s holding himself back. Ren isn’t flustered by the love bite being seen or the situation at hand, showing just how clueless he is about sexual relationships - and the exact reason why Haru is refusing to sleep with him in the first place.

One thing that I’m still left wondering about, though, is Natsuo’s intentions. Would he really have gone all the way with Ren if Haru hadn’t interrupted? Or did a part of him know that Haru would show up and stop them, and the whole thing was an act in his attempt of helping the two to understand their feelings for each other? Natsuo is still very much an enigma, and definitely a character to keep an eye on.

Oh my gosh! This week’s episode was so phenomenal; Ao no Exorcist has been a constant rush this season and it is this week’s episode that really put it over the top. The moment that really got to me was when Yukio was fighting against Todo in the beginning. Todo was bringing to light all of the misgivings that Yukio felt growing up alongside Rin, who seemed to live a carefree life while Yukio felt pressured and constantly worked with the sole purpose of protecting Rin. Yet, during this moment, Rin denied being forced into the exorcist trade by his father. Then Rin admits that he loves and hates his brother. We get to see all the moments when Yukio felt envious and Rin, yet we can truly see how much he cares about his brother.

Coming from a set of siblings who seem completely carefree, I completely feel Yukio’s pain. Hell, I put myself as the responsible party just like Yukio and resent everyone for it. In the end, though, I love both of my siblings regardless of how crappy they are at times. Don’t we all do things just because we love someone? I seriously connected with this week’s episode of Ao no Exorcist especially in this time of my life.

In the last episode of Tales of Zestiria the X we finally get a glimpse of the link between both stories, Tales of Zestiria and the brand new video game, Tales of Berseria. As you may know, Sorey is a shepherd who follows the chronicles in the Celestial Record, a book that tells a prophetic story about the Wasteland. But what we discover now, in episode 9, is that this book was written by Michael, the former shepherd and an important character in the Tales of Berseria saga. Lailah, who was his Prime Lord too, handed the book to Sorey after he and his friends managed to purify a dragon for the first time —by the way, princess Alisha and Rose are fine!— and this creates the link we needed in the anime between the 2 sagas… remember we got a couple episodes dedicated to Velvet Crowe?

This is a new beginning for Sorey and friends, traveling north in search of the origin of evil and a way to defeat the Lord of Calamity. Sirel and Ian also join forces, as does the huge army of volunteers enlisted by the kingdom, which means that a huge and epic fight is about to come. Shepherd Michael was a hero, but Sorey is writing his own story, and it looks like this one is way better and full of examples of how powerful the actual shepherd is. The cherry on top is Dezel talking about Armatization of both Rose and Alisha… we can’t wait to see them using the elemental power!

In this episode of All Out!!, Jinko is still participating in the training camp and they are doing very well. They win scrimmages, lose some others, get into a tackling contest with players from other teams and eventually go chill at their lodging. Except for Gion, of course, as he has all the energy and motivation in the world. When he goes to the field to start his still TBD “secret training”, he runs into his teammate, Kifune, who is already training and practicing while using his lucky mind prep; which he’s too embarrassed to do in front of anyone else.

And that’s where it happens; as Gion is admiring Kifune and telling him to just use his lucky routine, coach Komori shows up and tells him he likes his story and his lucky charm… with a SMILE!!! What!? It looks like Komori is softening up. But it doesn’t end there. Komori goes even further (still smiling, by the way) and kicks the ball into the night sky, telling Kifune and Gion to catch it. We get to see the former Japanese national team’s fullback in action for the first time, and he packs quite the kick! Komori uses his professional skills and experience to teach the boys a lesson while being as supportive as a parent would be. Still smiling!

This moment truly stuck out because we’re finally getting to see a different side of Komori, and the boys got personal advice from a former professional rugby star! Not many can say they had that opportunity! Keep it up Jinko!
