Satan had an illegitimate child known as Rin Okumura who has his own lineage hidden and decided to let him be raised as an exorcist. The True Cross Academy, which exists to train and raise exorcists as well as coach them, was the school that Rin had attended until the attack by the King of Earth, Amaimon, exposed Rin’s heritage as the son of Satan. Fearing Satan’s blue flames, suddenly all of his friends distanced themselves from him……

In the height of all of this, in the deepest part of the academy, the left eye of the Impure King, was stolen by someone. Suddenly, Rin and his companions find themselves dragged into an unforeseen state of affairs…

Rin Okumura

Voice Actor: Nobuhiko Okamoto

Rin is a 15-year-old boy burdened with the fate of being the illegitimate child of Satan. He does have a violent and rude side to him, but he generally has a bright and warm personality. Demons aimed for his body, but his adoptive father, Shirou sacrificed himself to that he could save his son. Rin aspires to become a full-fledged exorcist in order to avenge his father’s death. When he was attacked by the King of Earth, Amaimon, he was able to extract the demon-slaying blade the Kurikara from within and he was exposed as the illegitimate child of Satan to everyone as part of the True Cross Academy Knights.

Yukio Okumura

Voice Actor: Jun Fukuyama

Yukio is Rin’s younger twin brother. He is serious with a friendly and warm personality with dreams of becoming a doctor in the future. Brilliant and overflowing with knowledge, he is a genius and the youngest person in history to become an exorcist. He works as an instructor at the Academy and teaches Anti-demon Pharmacology. He promised his adoptive father, Shirou, that he could protect Rin at all costs, so he has a very strong sense of duty. While supporting Rin on his journey to become an exorcist, he also harbors mixed feelings towards it.

Shiemi Moriyama

Voice Actor: Kana Hanazawa

Shiemi is a girl who runs a shop for exorcists hocking exorcist items and Yukio is currying favor with her. She adores flowers and so her personality is quite that of the airhead. Determined to fix her introverted nature, she has joined the Academy to change herself. She knows that Rin is the illegitimate child of Satan and does not hide her shock.

Ryuji Suguro

Voice Actor: Kazuya Nakai

Ryuji’s appears to be a delinquent, but that could not be further from the truth as he is diligent with the top grades in his class. He can be sentimental as well. He argues with Rin frequently, but he is someone that everyone can rely on. He is from a line of priests from Myoudashuu temple in Kyoto. He has decided to become an exorcist in order to rebuild the temple one day. The current head of Myouda is his father and Ryuji is harboring some sort of anger against his father’s actions.

Renzou Shima

Voice Actor: Kouji Yusa

Renzou is an impressive young boy with Pink Hair. Renzou is a disciple of Ryuji’s father and so even in the academy, he works together with Ryuji often. He tends to drift about aimlessly while hating rigidness. He loves the ladies. He is the fifth son of the Shima Family who play a role in managing the devout followers of Myoudashuu

Konekomaru Miwa

Voice Actor: Yuuki Kaji

Konekomaru is another disciple of Ryuji’s father. Together with Ryuji and Renzou they head towards the capital and are students studying how to become exorcists. Konekomaru has a kind heart and is gentle, and so he helps to calm down Ryuji when he gets upset. He has a small body and a close-cropped haircut, while his large glasses are his main characteristic. He lost both of his parents in the Blue Night, and as such, when he found out about Rin’s identity, more than anyone else he feared Rin and put a great distance between himself and Rin.

Izumo Kamiki

Voice Actor: Eri Kitamura

Izumo is a student at the Academy with a strong personality and in some ways, could be called a tsundere. Izumo comes from a long line of Miko or shrine maiden, and since birth, has had Heian Period Noblewoman-style eyebrows. She is harsh with her words but she actually considers the thoughts of others. She is a genius knight and she is able to summon two spiritual foxes, Mike and Uke at the same time.

Shura Kirigakura

Voice Actor: Rina Satou

Shura is the Top Knight in the Academy and a first rank exorcist. She was a disciple of Shirou. She teaches Rin how to use a sword and gives Yukio advice and understands their telepathy. She is a bit sketchy though and quite a heavy drinker.

Mephisto Pheles

Voice Actor: Hiroshi Kamiya

Mephisto is a strange man who refers to himself as a friend of Shirou Fujimoto. He is a knight with prestige who is attached to the True Cross Academy and guides Rin on the path to become an exorcist. On the outside, he is a board chairman for the academy. He mentors Rin on how to become better to fight against Satan by giving him various trials and tests. However, whomever he really is, is wrapped up in mysteries.
