왜나를두고떠났어?
Let’s all hug Dorothy. This had to have been the saddest moment so far for the series. We find out that her father is a mortician down on his luck and in debt. He is actually supposed to be running a job for some gangsters when Dorothy and Beatrice are sent to investigate. Dorothy is shocked to see her father and we can deduce that Daisy is her real name, but she goes by her mother’s name, Dorothy. After her mother left her father and he was injured at work, he started hitting Dorothy. Poor thing. She ended up leaving and doing her own thing and became a spy while her father worked out his debt.
It was a bit cringey to watch the father interact with his back against a wall, but finally his break came when they find the note in the tooth and Dorothy gives it to her father. Going to deliver it, he demands more money and writes a check his butt cannot cash and is killed. Dorothy on the other hand waits for him in semi-high hopes with Beatrice at a bar where he has said that he is going to meet them. He does not come because he is dead and a waiting Dorothy will not be able to see her father again. Yet another broken promise for her.
Diamond Eyes
My moment of the week is from Dive!! brought to you by Tomoki and Youichi from Dive!! While Tomoki is still down on himself and upset about how he basically had his girlfriend “stolen” by his twin brother, Youichi tries to cheer our dear little Tomoki up by saying he has something nobody else has. Those diamond eyes. Why yes, he says diamond eyes. Youichi goes on to talk about how Tomoki should continue on to pursue his dreams and go on to Beijing or just jump into the nearest pond on the way home if he wants to give up.
Yeah, Youichi is so great at this. Can you believe he basically tells Tomoki to commit suicide if he wants to give up on diving? I guess to Youichi, that is supposed to be inspiring. It is not a great inspirational speech, but I guess that’s what Youichi can do. I am still stuck on the “You have diamond eyes” part. Is that supposed to mean he has a sparkle in his eyes? What the heck are diamond eyes, huh, Youichi? Well, Youichi does not really explain this but the episode is over. Oh Youichi, you can say such strange things with such a serious face.
6+7 is more than 11
Are we gonna talk about Dragon Ball Super again? Yes, we are, because now this show is closer to what people really want. This week we had episode #104, with a powerful battle between the 3 most important universes, according to screen time: HIt’s Universe 6, Pride Trooper’s Universe 11, and Goku’s Universe 7. If you had to bet, it’s safe to assume that Hit will make it to the finals and the Pride Trooper’s only survivors will be Jiren and Toppo, but what a fighter Dyspo is! I mean, is not that easy to beat a guy who can play with time, but he did it in style and showing extreme ease thanks to his overdeveloped senses. However, Hit was not giving up, obviously, so he managed to overcome the adversity and find a way to counteract Dyspo's technique, almost making him fall off the platform. But you know, there’s teamwork involved, so there was Kunshi helping his friend and turning this into a 2 vs 1… but not for so long, because Goku decided to join Hit’s side and make things a little more interesting. If you haven’t watched this episode, believe me you really should, if only to see how 2 “enemies” can join forces against a common enemy.
The funny moment this time was when Daishinkan “updated” Zen-oh’s device so it could play videos like YouTube, with replay options and stuff. Is he a developer now? And on a more “serious” note, why can’t Zen-oh just see the fight between Dyspo and Hit at full speed, like the angels or gods? Anyways, we get that Goku, Hit and Jiren will dispute the last man standing, but we all want to see Vegeta saving the day.
