What You Need to Know:
- Pony Canyon announced today that the anime adaptation of Tokyo Revengers will begin airing in April next year!
- The offcial website and Pony Canyon YouTube channel also shared a new PV in which the painful reality of Takemichi's situation really shines, as does the intense passion in his determination to save his girl. Check it out below!
- Tokyo Revengers is based on a manga by Ken Wakui (Shinjuku Swan), which started serializing in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" in 2017. No-good part-timer Takemichi learns that the Tokyo Manji Gang has killed his one and only ex-girlfriend. Then, suddenly, he finds himself 12 years in the past, when he was still dating his ex. Realizing he has a chance to save her, he joins the gang and is determined to do anytihng it takes to do it.
- So far, 5 main cast members have been revealed: Yuuki Shin as Takemichi Hanagaki, Azumi Waki as Hinata Tachibana, Ryota Osaka as Naoto Tachibana, Yuu Hayashi as Manjiro Sano (Mikey), and Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Ken Ryuguji (Draken)
- Tokyo Revengers announced some staff as well: Koichi Hatsumi as director, Yasuyuki Mutou will do series composition, Kenichi Onuki and Keiko Ota are in charge of character design, aanimation production will be handled by Linden Films.
