The Kingdom of Liones, in an era similar to the European Middle Ages, is a land protected by the feared yet revered Holy Knights of Britannia, powerful warriors capable of using magic. However, the region of Britannia was exposed to extreme turmoil when a group of Holy Knights planned to revolt against the ruler of Liones. They were defeated by the other Holy Knights and subsequently relegated to a mere legend. However, rumours about these legendary Knights dubbed “the Seven Deadly Sins” continued – they might still be alive. However, ten years later, the Holy Knights themselves staged a coup d’état and became the new rulers of the Kingdom of Liones. Concerned about the state of the kingdom, the third princess of Liones, Elizabeth, set out on a dangerous journey to locate the Seven Deadly Sins in order to take back the kingdom from the tyrannical clutches of the Holy Knights.

Since the anime has only clocked its first season and a four-episode OVA, sightings of Merlin are restricted to her warning poster, as well as “in-person” in the latter stages of the series. However, that is most definitely enough as her beauty is absolutely jarring. Sporting a long violet cloak which initially covered her body from head to toe, the cloak was ripped apart, revealing a slim and tall figure, wearing a revealing fur-collared coat, short shorts and thigh high boots. Attracted to this guild is 17-year-old Lucy Heartfilia, a young mage who wishes to join Fairy Tail and become a fully-fledged mage. She runs into Natsu Dragneel and his cat, Happy, who are searching for Natsu’s foster parent, the dragon Igneel. After being tricked and abducted by a certain man, Natsu bursts onto the scene, brandishing a symbol that without a doubt identifies him as a member of Fairy Tail – the Fairy Tail insignia. After rescuing Lucy, Natsu invites her to join Fairy Tail and with that, Lucy’s life of adventure and skirting with global-scale danger begins!

In the Fairy Tail guild hall exists a permanent and positive presence. Serving everyone with a smile is the beautiful white-haired waitress and bartender, Mirajane Strauss. With white hair, fair skin and blue eyes, Mirajane is in some ways, Fairy Tail’s pride. Cheerful, helpful and beaming with life, Mirajane is beautiful internally and externally. Wearing a simple magenta one-piece, Mirajane doesn’t always show off her body, but when she does, it’s like seeing a fairy tale up close, no?

Takigawa Yoshino is a normal teenager locked in a secret relationship with his best friend Fuwa Mahiro’s younger sister, Aika. But when she mysteriously dies one night, Mahiro disappears, in pursuit of the one responsible. A month goes by with no word from Mahiro and Yoshino’s life continues as usual, at least until a strange woman holds him at gunpoint and Mahiro shows up just in time to save him. Yoshino later learns that Mahiro has somehow managed to enlist the help of a witch named Kusaribe Hakaze to find Aika’s killer as well as the existence of a magical entities known as the Trees of Genesis and Exodus. Hakaze’s brother wishes to use the power of the Tree of Exodus, despite the fact that it could lead to the end of the world. Unfortunately, Hakaze can’t stop him herself because she’s stranded on an island – so it is up to Yoshino and Mahiro to save the world in her stead, all while unravelling the truth about Aika’s death.

Kusaribe Hakaze; a witch with bewitching good looks, how appropriate. With long flowing scarlet locks of hair, a slim frame and honest eyes that match the colour of her hair, Hakaze is one of the most beautiful characters in this series, rivalled only by the deceased Aika. Due to the fact that she’s stranded on an island, she has had to make do with what she has, thus for the majority of the series, Hakaze is always seen wearing torn pieces of cloth to cover her important parts, exposing her long legs and midriff. Overall, Hakaze is just hot, period.

Hachimitsu Private Academy, an elite all-girls boarding school located on the outskirts of Tokyo is famous for its great education and disciplined students. A policy change sees the prestigious school accepting male students for the first time and in the first semester after this amendment, only five boys are accepted. With the female to male ratio at a staggering 200:1, Kiyoshi, Gakuto, Shingo, Andre and Jo are rendered incapable of communicating with their fellow female students. However the apparent alienation gives them a dangerous idea: they plan to peep into the girls’ bath! Unfortunately for them; however, their plan is effortlessly foiled by the infamous Underground Student Council and they are subsequently thrown into the school’s prison, sentenced for a whole month as punishment. In order to survive, the 5 boys need to band together in friendship in order to taste freedom once more.

The scariest of all the members of the Student Council, yet every bit as attractive, even more so than her peers, Shiraki Meiko governs all the respect… y’know, because she’s absolutely terrifying. With all the fan service that goes into an ecchi title like Prison School, Shiraki is a symbol, the very incarnation of fan service itself. In Tokyo’s downtown district of Ikebukuro exist a plethora of rumours of anonymous gangs and swathes of urban legends; however, none of these compare to that of the headless “Black Rider”, the supposed rider of a jet-black motorcycle. Ryuugamine Mikado, upon being invited by his childhood friend Kida Masaomi to move to Tokyo, can’t contain his excitement at the prospect of city life. Who would’ve thought that his first day in Ikebukuro would be capped by his sighting of the Black Rider? With several supernatural occurrences taking place amidst the various characters who inhabit Ikebukuro, Mikado’s experience of city life proves to be far more exciting than his wildest dreams.

The legendary headless Black Rider. Said to be sighted riding around the streets of Ikebukuro, the Black Rider has become the standout in Ikebukuro’s urban folklore. However, Celty Sturluson, the Black Rider, is a Dullahan, a legendary Irish myth. So before we get into her history, you might be wondering how someone with no head can be considered one of the hottest characters in anime. We’ll sum it up: tall, slender frame; tight black biker leathers gracing her ever so gently; Who needs a head when everything else is on point?

Yadomi Jinta is a teenage recluse who, one hot summer day, begins seeing his dead childhood friend, Honma “Menma” Meiko. She pesters him to grant her a wish she has forgotten, but Jinta is convinced he is merely experiencing delusions. However, as time goes on, he realises that he is actually seeing Menma’s ghost. After Menma’s untimely death, Jinta’s childhood group of friends grew apart and took seemingly different paths; however with Menma’s appearance, they band together once again to put her to rest and to finally be free of their pain and guilt.

The so-called “mean girl” of Jinta’s former group of friends, Anaru grew up from a timid and uninteresting child to a teen with spunk (or what most people would call a bad attitude). Personality aside, Anaru is one of the hottest characters in the whole show and yet ironically, none of the characters seem to notice. At average height with a slim build and superior fashion sense, Anaru makes good great. Perhaps her friendship with the popular kids at school has made her blossom into a serious beauty, maybe we find her rough personality endearing. What remains is that Anaru caught our eye from day one.

The human race’s beauty comes from its ability to create stories that deviate from the reality which restrains us. This then means that humanity has birthed a plethora of different worlds, but when these fictional worlds find themselves lodged in the “real world”, high school student Mizushino Souta finds himself briefly transported to a nasty fight scene while he was watching his favourite anime. When he is returned to the real world, he quickly realises that he has returned alongside that anime’s protagonist, Selesia Upitiria. Soon after, a plethora of other fictional heroes and villains make an appearance in the real world; however, the most mysterious is the one who seems to be orchestrating this strange course of events: the white-haired woman in full military regalia. Souta and Selesia work alongside Meteora Österreich, a librarian NPC, in order to uncover the truth behind the distortion between imagination and reality.

Selesia Upitiria, the headstrong female protagonist of Re:Creators is an impulsive character with a sense of duty and… beautiful, long, flowing red hair and bright blue eyes that glisten with life. Her appearance makes it obvious to see her as the female MC because of the way in which she stands out. With a slim figure, tightly hugged by a turtleneck inner coat which bares her cleavage, a short skirt which matches her top coat. With thigh-length socks that leave just the right amount of zettai ryouiki, Selesia is one of the hottest anime girls because her outfit just accentuates some of her most attractive features.

During spring break, second year high school student Araragi Koyomi befriends Hanekawa Tsubasa, the top honour student at their school, Naoetsu High. Tsubasa tells him about a rumour about a blonde vampire that has been spotted around town. Later that night, Araragi encounters said vampire: Kiss-Shot-Acerola-Orion-Heart-Under-Blade, the “King of Apparitions”. She cries out for Araragi’s help as she lies in a pool of her own blood, with all four limbs cut off. She begs him to give her his blood in order to save her life and as soon as he does so, the reawakens as her vampire kin. As a result of that fateful encounter, Araragi’s life is changed forever, as his sacrifice ushers him into the world of darkness.

Knowing very well the diminutive form she takes on after the incident that left her lying in a pool of her own blood in the first place, a full-powered Oshino Shinobu is one of the most attractive female anime characters. With her long golden-blonde hair flowing as if it represents her 500 years of life, Kiss-Shot-Acerola-Orion-Heart-Under-Blade is the origin of Araragi Koyomi’s new life as a vampire. Her golden eyes, beautiful face, coupled together with her regal aura and incredible, well-endowed figure make her an instant thought for this list.

Diamandra, South America. A hardened criminal named Michiko Malandro breaks out of a high security prison for the fourth time, in pursuit of a man from her past. In order to locate him, Michiko tracks down his daughter, ten-year-old Hana Morenos, who is living with an abusive foster family. Hana has always dreamt of the day when she’d be whisked away from her abusers; however, never did she imagine it to be an escaped convict claiming to be her mother. Together, Michiko and Hana brave the intense heat of the South American sun while navigating the labyrinth of betrayal, poverty and violence that is Diamandra in order to find one man.

Glistening bronze skin, full lips and eyes angled just the right way, Michiko Malandro isn’t just hot – she’s sexy. Her brazen and rambunctious personality seems to augment her tall, slim figure. The fact that Michiko knows she’s hot just adds to her attractiveness – her attire always consists of short shorts; which accentuate her long legs, blouses that are always fashionably tied at the bottom to expose the L.B.D.D tattoo that inhabits her midriff. Her long brown hair just seems to top it all off and seeing it flowing in the wind, with her skin glowing and a cigarette neatly tucked in between her luscious lips, is one of most aesthetically pleasing visuals in the show.
