You can’t always choose the people you’re related to, but sometimes, a family can be more than the group of people you were born into! Whether you consider your family to be the people you grew up with or the friends you met along the way, having someone there to support you is important. We think that most characters in anime or manga would agree, since they often build up a group of people to help them in their goals. This is true for those characters in light novels as well! No matter what sort of fantastical setting these characters may be a part of, family is always an important aspect of their stories. Today, we’ll be specifically focusing on families from light novels that we’ve enjoyed.
The families in these various stories may not always be related by blood, but they are tied by the emotions that bound them together. We may have selected a few of the more unusual family groups. However, no matter where these people came from or how their bonds are forged, their ties are among the strongest we have seen! The families on our list show us the importance of these kinds of ties.

Final Thoughts
Family can take all kinds of shapes and sizes, but what is important is the way that its members support one another through all of life’s trials. We think that, though the families on our list might not always be the most traditional, they are some of the best examples of that kind of unconditional support and love!
