This is an updated list of the Top 10 Tsundere Characters previously published on our site. As time goes on, more girls and winners appear! There are also other contenders that need to be considered. With that, please enjoy this updated list! You can read the original article at the bottom of this list.
We have to admit right off the bat that tsundere characters are some of the most difficult ones with their often superficial arrogance and violent tempers. You never have to do more than glance in their direction to receive a beat down from these beauties. The queens of passive-aggressive (emphasis on the aggressive) who grace the world of anime have a multitude of fans. The popularity of these often twin-tailed tyrants has exploded much like their tempers, appearing in a multitude of titles each season. We’re happy to have them gracing our screens as the goddesses they are, gifting us with their presence.
We, like many of the main protagonists in shows featuring tsundere characters, are gluttons for punishment. The plethora of established tsundere characters and the new ones who show up each season are the reason we like to revisit this list of top 10 tsundere periodically. Make sure you’re wearing a helmet and a cup as we count down a Honey’s Anime list of top 10 Tsundere characters.
10. Yui Kotegawa from To Love-Ru
- Episodes: 26
- Aired: Apr. 2008 - Sep. 2008
Yui is a beautiful girl with long black hair, dark brown eyes and a conservative outlook on life. We could easily say she is the second most beautiful girl in school compared to Lala, the heroine. Yui makes conservative look sexy. She is the head of the disciplinary committee and views almost anything that violates her almost Victorian views as “shameless.”
To say this tsundere character is wound a little tight is an understatement. When it comes to the protagonist, Rito, she often says exactly the opposite of what she wants to say, insulting him or calling him shameless or a pervert. Over the course of the series she copes with her conflicting feelings for Rito as she denies her feelings for him. She is always keeping him at arm’s length even as she fantasies about a life with him as his wife.
9. Kaname Chidori from Full Metal Panic!
- Episodes: 24
- Aired: Jan. 2002- Jun. 2002
Chidori is a high school student. She’s tall and slender with black-blue hair and brown eyes. She is looked up to by the girls in school as an idol. The boys, on the other hand, aren’t that interested in her because of her mouth. She is considered unladylike because she speaks her mind. She is also a very physical girl, not afraid to use her physical talent and strength to defend herself or others. She does have a short fuse. Her greatest problem is that she has some innate ability called “Whispered” that is sought after by multiple military and terrorist organizations, so she has to be protected by Mithril -- a private military organization. The man in charge of this detail is Sargent Sousuke, a veteran soldier who goes undercover as a classmate at her school at to protect her without letting her know.
Chidori is on our tsundere characters list because of her sometimes-violent nature towards Sousuke. Most of the time it is Sousuke’s fault for being overprotective. He tends to toss her to the ground and pull a gun on almost anyone when he feels threatened. Chidori, in response, smacks, kicks, whacks, or otherwise beats her protector for his overreactions. Right off the bat, she thinks of him as a creepy military otaku who also seems to also be her own personal stalker. In typical tsundere fashion, she gradually warms up to her protector, especially as she begins to understand what he is doing and what kind of threat she is under.
8. Maki Nishikino from Love Live!
- Episodes: 13
- Aired: Jan. 2013- Mar. 2013
Maki is the daughter of a wealthy family of doctors. She is also a talented classical musician, and though it took a lot of coxing she became a teen idol with a lot of hard work and the help of her friends. She attends Otonokizaka High School and has red hair and stunning violet eyes. She lives for music and is a talented song writer for the school idol group Muse.
Maki is the one of the most subtle tsundere characters on this list. She is never violent, which is a typical tsundere character trait, but does have trouble expressing her true feelings to her friends. We are left to surmise that because of the nature of her parents’ work she is often left alone in her mansion with music as her companion. She is often viewed as a loner in the beginning of the story, but in retrospect we think she is merely immersed in music. We do see her get along with the other girls better as the show goes on. She has an adorable innocence that conflicts with her often serious nature; after all, she holds on to her belief in Santa Claus. She is just damn adorable. She can be stubborn and closed-minded, but all she has to do is bat those violet eyes in your direction and give a little pout and you’ll be putty in her hands.
7. Stella Vermillion from Chivalry of a Failed Night (Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry)
- Episodes: 12
- Aired: Oct. 2015- Dec. 2015
On occasion, Stella looks down on others as common, which is exactly how everyone seems since she is royalty. Stella is the second imperial princess of the Vermillion Kingdom and an apprentice knight. Like everyone on our list, she’s beautiful. She has crimson hair, pale skin, large breasts and a voluptuous figure. She is also very powerful. She has the ability to summon flames and light, for both attack and defense, and by her own admission has 30 times the power of a normal blazer, one who performs magic. She also has abnormal strength and is capable of inhuman physical feats.
Stella’s personality and introduction was classic for tsundere characters. Her future romantic interest walks in on her while she is changing. We know that it wasn’t Ikki’s fault, he was given the same room assignment as the princess, and “accidents happen.” We see her tsundere come out whenever someone (usually a girl) gets too close to Ikki, and it’s usually Ikki who’s punished for it. Stella’s temper also flares up when she is referred to as a prodigy or genius. She has only contempt for those who see her that way, feeling that those people are looking past who she really is. She is also representative of the dere part of the tsundere coin, being extremely sweet and affectionate to Ikki. She even extends the kindness to her friends on occasion.
6. Ayase Shinomiya from Guilty Crown
- Episodes: 24
- Aired: Oct. 2011- Mar. 2012
Ayase is one of the main members of the rebel group Funeral Parlor in their struggle against the occupation of Japan by the GHQ, a global organization of nations. She spends her days as a high school student rolling between classes in her wheel chair and her off time piloting her Endlave, a large humanoid mecha, in support of Funeral Parlor’s actions. She feels free when she pilots her Endlave as it gives her the mobility she doesn’t have in her normal life. She is also beautiful, with brown eyes and brown hair that she often keeps in a ponytail.
Ayase fits the tsundere mold first by being a strong-willed person and never just fading into the background. The second reason she on this list is that she has emotional scars. We may not know why she is in a wheelchair but we know she hates being pitied for her disability. She is likely to bite your head off if she even senses you feel sorry for her. The third reason she is a tsundere is her opinion of our hero, Shu. She is one of Shu’s most vocal critics in the beginning of the series. She eventually warms up to Shu, even suggesting that she may be in love with him. We think that is what clinches her tsundereness, her slow change from hostility to love for the protagonist of the story. She's a fantastic tsundere character!
5. Chitoge Kirisaki from Nisekoi: False Love
- Episodes: 20
- Aired: Jan. 2014- May 2014
We all knew that the bunny eared blonde Chitoge was going to be on this list of tsundere characters. She is one of the best examples of tsundere in anime. She is the main protagonist of the Nisekoi series and has a rather complicated love life. She currently plays the role of Raku Ichijo’s girlfriend and he plays the role of her boyfriend all arranged by their families who are rivals in the criminal underworld. The two of them are forced to keep up this false love as a way to keep the peace between the rival underworld gangs.
Chitoge’s tsundere traits are spot-on as she has a rather aggressive personality. We first meet her as she accidently kicks Raku in the face and finds a way to blame him. He loses a precious locket in the encounter, giving her dere side a chance to come out. She works with him for hours looking for it in the tall grass around the school. She has some emotional scars but is in far better emotional condition than some of our heroines. She has a distant mother, who works too much, and had an isolated childhood because other families didn’t want their kids to play with the mob bosses daughter. All in all she is just awkward, with people skills similar to those you find in a kid who’s home schooled up until high school. She’s simply a dork underneath the bluster and dorks can be hot.
4. Asuka Langley from Neon Genesis Evangelion
- Episodes: 26
- Aired: Oct. 1995- Mar.1996
We know not everyone has the same opinion of the epic and at many times hard to understand Evangelion, but we all can agree the Asuka is one of the key reasons for the popularity of the franchise. Asuka is a child prodigy. She speaks English, German and Japanese. She has red hair, twin tails and a fiery temper. She began training at young age to pilot an Eva, a gigantic cybernetic monster, in humanities’ attempts to hold back the harbingers of the apocalypse, Angels. Asuka is proud of her role in fighting the Angels, so she wears her interface headset, the technology used to sync up with the Eva, as an accessory in her hair.
Askua makes the list of tsundere characters for being one of our earliest tsunderes and introducing us to “anta baka?” (you idiot) as a catch phrase, usually directed at classmate and fellow pilot Shinji. We also get to see a more emotional side of Asuka in her relationship with her former guardian Ryoji Kaji. We see a sweet girl who is in love with an older man. Asuka tries many times to tempt him and gets politely turned down each time. Yet, she doesn’t let that deter her feelings. She, like many on this list, can find her emotional scars at the root of her tsundere behavior. We find out that her mother goes insane and believes a rag doll is her daughter, referring to Asuka as “that other girl.” She’s also the one who discovers her mother’s suicide. We feel for Asuka; we see she is hurting on the inside. She is in pain and simply searching for the love she didn’t receive as a child, so we are willing to put up with the verbal punishment just take care of her.
3. Eriri Spencer Sawamura from Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend (Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata)
- Episodes: 12
- Aired: Jan. 2015- Mar. 2015
Eriri is one of the main heroines of Saekano. Eriri is popular, intelligent, and elegant. She is one of the idols of her school, always kind and polite to her classmates. She lives in a mansion up in the hills above town, cementing her class distinction. She is considered a girl of excellent breeding, her father is an English diplomat and her mother is Japanese. She has blue eyes, pale skin, and blonde hair tied back in long twin tails. She is a slender girl often seen in her blue school uniform, sailor style, layered with a blue short-sleeve sweater.
The description of her behavior in school doesn’t exactly say tsundere, because as she admits it’s a mask. The perfect lady she pretends to be is actually an otaku. She is also a creator in the otaku economy, not just a consumer, as she is in an 18+ doujinshi circle “egoistihic-lily” working as their main artist. She is also foul mouthed letting the profanity fly in private, especially when talking about the “normal people” the “non-otaku” in the world. Eriri would also rather spend her time at home, in a green track suit drawing doujinshi porn that goes out into the world. She also is not so secretly in love with her childhood friend Tomoya. Eriri is also a whirlwind of conflicting emotions when it comes to him. Eriri truly plays hard to get forcing him to beg for her help in making a dating sim, though deep down we feel she supported him from the get-go. She is also willing to resort to violence at times by smacking or kicking Tomoya if he displeases her or another girl gets too close to him. She is very emotionally vulnerable; despite her current life drawing porn, she wants nothing more than to be swept off her feet by a handsome prince in the most romantic way. She is a character that embodies a lot of moe and that tsundere personality is the key to her character, especially in a show that pokes kind fun at the otaku culture by providing characters to fit all our dere needs.
2. Aisaka Taiga from Toradora
- Episodes: 25
- Aired: Oct. 2008- Mar. 2009
Many consider Taiga to be the queen of tsundere characters. She may be small but makes up for it in attitude. She’s often referred to as the “Palm Top Tiger.” The tale of Toradora follows the growing relationship of Taiga and Ryuji, a neighbor and classmate. Toradora is a school comedy that starts off with this miss-matched pair forming an alliance in order to date each other’s friends. You can quickly jump to the conclusion that this story will evolve into wonderful romantic comedy.
Taiga’s tsundere characteristics are all classic. She is prone to violent outbursts in class and outside of class, often using a wooden sword to clobber those who offend her. Taiga is an expert when it comes to burying her feelings and not dealing with them, letting emotions of regret and boil underneath the surface. She eventually does deal with those feelings, like abandonment and an inferiority complex, though it’s a long journey with no quick fixes due to “the power of friendship.” These issues of a screwed up childhood leave her with an inability to express her emotions in ways deemed acceptable by society. We don’t love Taiga just because she is screwed up. We love her for the way she copes with her feelings with outbursts of violent behavior, disregarding trespassing laws, or getting embarrassed when she doesn’t know how to take a complement.
1. Rin Tosaka from Fate/stay night
- Episodes: 24
- Aired: Jan. 2006- Jun. 2006
You’ve got to be tough when you come from a family of battle mages, and Rin might be the toughest. She has to be tough because the Holy Grail War is a gruesome affair and she feels it’s her duty to not only participate but to win. Her primary color scheme of red and black extends all the way to her jet black twin tails, making her look like quite the badass. She is a skilled mage with the ability to store magical power in gems giving her the ability to use them like mana exploding grenades. Rin even has the ability to fire bolts of energy from her fingertips; she points her fingers like a gun and shoots -- and looks adorable doing it.
Rin Tosaka is on this list because she is a queen among tsundere characters. She is perceived to be a model student and puts on aristocratic airs in order distance herself from her classmates. Rin leads a secret and dangerous life and acts standoffish as much to protect others as she does to protect herself from loss. We think it’s this characteristic that drives her tsundere personality and makes her a unique example of the archetype. In spite of her powers and attitude she is still just a girl with a crush on a boy and gets him caught up in her family’s bloody centuries-old quest to win the Holy Grail War. Rin makes number one on this list over Tiaga, who often ranks at the top of most tsundere lists, for one reason. Rin, with her long legs and blue eyes, is sexy as hell. That is why we’d put up with her abuse, because when they’re beautiful almost nothing else matters.
Conclusion
We are gluttons for punishment. We admit it; we might be a little bit masochistic. We love these tsundere characters, bad attitudes and all. We love them because of their layers. The tsundere character traits usually come from some sort of emotional trauma or damage. We want to help heal that damage. We want to be the catalyst for their healing. We may get some bumps and bruises as they lash out defending their emotional walls but the payoff of becoming the one and only person for them is the best reward. We are simply suckers for tsundere’s.
O-o-o-o-of course I belong on this list! What are you stupid?
Do you even think? W-w-w-w-w-what is your brain for?
Welcome to Honey’s Anime Top 10 Tsundere characters in Anime! If you need a reference, you can find the article I wrote on the history of tsundere below. Just to give those of you who already know what it is a referesher, “tsundere” is a combination of the words “tsuntsun” which means to turn away in disgust combined with “deredere” which means to become sweet and loving.
Tsundere has been around for years, and it is believed to have originally started with Lum Invader in Urusei Yatsura. Rumiko Takahashi is believed to have also given this character archetype more exposure with Akane Tendo. Tsundere is probably one of the most used of all four from the “dere” compass. Some great, some strange, and some misunderstood, the tsundere character can be found in many, many shows. I won’t say all because that’s not quite true.
While compiling this list, I combed the internet and even found surveys from Japan where they chose what characters they liked! With that being said, welcome to the top 10 tsundere characters in anime! Peruse at your own risk…
10. Naru Narusegawa from Love Hina
- Episodes: 24
- Aired: April 2000 – September 2000
Her famous “Naru punch” looks like it would be extremely painful. Naru is one of the main characters set in the famous harem anime “Love Hina”. Naru struggles with her feelings with Keitaro to the point where she will not hesitate to beat him senseless with her “naru punch.” Even when she does let out her “dere” side a bit more, she’s still WAY too violent for a full blown dere mode.
Naru made a promise to Keitaro when they were two years old to go to Tokyo University and eventually does end up going there. However, they don’t meet at the university, but rather at the all-girls dorm. He is the dorm manager and she is living there. She is quite prone to outbursts that are rather funny. While her outbursts are funny, but they only exist to hide her true feelings.
9. Haruhi Suzumiya from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
- Episodes: 14
- Aired: April 2006 – July 2006
Haruhi Suzumiya is about a girl who is on the lookout for time travelers, aliens, and espers. She forces/enlists Kyon, another student at her school, along with Nagato, an alien, Koizumi, an esper, and Asahina, a time traveler. The best part is, she has not idea that these three beings are under her nose. It’s a very interesting and confusing journey from start to finish as they search for other beings.
What makes Haruhi such a tsundere is the fact with how rough and abrasive she is with Kyon. Everyone knows that she cares for him, but she will never, ever say it. In fact, her dere side only comes out when she takes care of Kyon while he is in a coma at one point. Kyon also is a bit of a minor tsundere back towards her, but he does rationalize his feelings out a lot of the time. That’s why Haruhi sits at #9!
8. Asuka Langley from Neon Genesis Evangelion
- Episodes: 26
- Aired: October 1995 – March 1996
Evangelion follows around Shinji, Asuka, and Rei in a post-apocalyptic world where aliens are invading the earth. They are pilots of giant robots called Evas. Together they set out to protect what is (actually 2015 modern day) Tokyo-3 from the angels. The angels are digging into the core but for what reason?
Asuka is the firecracker of the series who is constantly berating shinji on every chance she can get. Her hair matches her bright and fiery personality too. Her suit is even red too! She has difficulty relating to others which is what leads her to be so abrasive and confrontational with Shinji, even though they are not her true feelings. She has a very dark past which is the main reason why she is unable to communicate her feelings. Asuka was my first tsundere and many people’s too! While she isn’t the first, Asuka is a prime example of a true tsundere.
7. Misaka Mikoto from A Certain Scientific Railgun. [To Aru Kagaku no Railgun]
- Episodes: 24
- Aired: October 2009 – March 2010
Misaka does make appearances in this show’s predecessor “A certain Magical Index,” however she isn’t as major as she is within this series.
Misaka lives in Academic City with her best friends Kuroko Shirai, Kazari Uiharu, and Ruiko Saten. Together this show seems like a simple slice of life show. It is far from it because everyone in this city are espers! Everyone is ranked from a 0 meaning no power, to a 5 meaning destructive or an astounding amount of power. Misaka is an electromaster ranked as the #3 strongest Esper in all of Academic city. Together with her friends they solve crimes and mysteries within Academic city.
Misaka is a total tsundere. She puts up a very tough front but loses it immediately whenever there is anything frog related as she loves them. However, and seeing A certain magical index will help here, having any kind of interaction with boy named Touma immediately makes her go read and unable to function. Much like Naru punch, Misaka will try to obliterate him with her level 5 powers if she feels embarrassed. Which is basically every encounter. She has feelings for Touma but will NEVER allow herself to come forward and admit it. One of her side friends even calls her out on it without actually saying “tsundere” outright!
6. Kurisu Makise from Steins;Gate
- Episodes: 24
- Aired: April 2011 – September 2011
Steins;Gate is an anime tht is set to be the sequel of Chaos;Head. This one is set up in Akihabara. It focuses on time travel and the relativity of time. This means that the main characters are going back in time, sometimes, many times, in order to reverse or correct a past action therefore having an effect on the future which is their present.
Kurisu seems to be a fan favorite. Everywhere I looked, she’s quite popular. Kurisu is a research assistant to Okabe and is fluent in English. Okabe will troll her and make references to her past as a browser of 2chan which flares up her tsundere nature. Another way he ribs Kurisu to make her react is to call her Christina in a joking manner. She gets called out a lot by Daru for being such a tsundere. A great example of how she can go from hot to cold is when she’s buzzed in the stairwell with Okabe one night and starts rubbing his face with hers and is affectionate.
However, when Okabe starts to protest, Kurisu puts on a very scary face and questions him about why it is a problem. Overall I find her very funny in her tsundere ways myself. Check this show out as I do recommend it!
5. Kirino Kosaka from My Little Sister Can’t be this Cute [Ore no Imoto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai]
- Episodes: 12
- Aired: October 2010 – December 2010
Oreimo opens with Kyosuke Kosaka being a high school student who really doesn’t have a relationship with his little sister Kirino. One day though he comes home and stumbles across a magical girl anime dvd case, but inside the case is something much better; it’s an eroge or “erotic game.” Very soon after he finds out that they belong to his sister. He then finds out his sister is an otaku with an obsession over moe themed anime and sister-themed eroge. The show follows their relationship while trying to help Kirino come to terms with her. See: Total denial.
Kirino is a GREAT tsundere. It is hilarious how even after she is discovered to be obsessed with an extreme fringe of eroge and anime, she will still treat poor Kyosuke with contempt. She acts as if her hobby which can have it’s wtf moments and leave the viewers with a multitude of questions. She ends up forming a very… unique relationship with him. A great exampleof how tsundere she is, is when she decides to sleep in Kyosuke’s bed without him knowing and he wakes up. He pokes her breast and she flips out on him calling him a pervert when, in actuality, Kirino is the one who chose to go there in the first place!
Welcome to the top 4! How are you feeling? Are you ready to keep going? Where are your faves ranking? I hope you enjoy the final four who are also commonly referred to as “Four Tsundere Wonders.”
4. Shana from Shakugan no Shana
- Episodes: 24
- Aired: October 2005 – March 2006
Shakugan no Shana is a supernatural anime that follows a high school student named Yuji who witnesses a flame haze girl named shana fighting. He is actually already dead, but he has powers so she needs him to unlock treasures and tools for her so she can become stronger. As two worlds are in chaos now, they fight to find more truths within their world and the crimson realm that parallels it.
Shana is a true tsundere. She actually starts out with no name and it is Yuji who gives her the name Shana. She sees no value for Yuji other than his ability to strengthen her, so she has a very set lifestyle. She has set views on things and often tells him to shut up when he questions her. She does start warming up to him though as a source of affection. This mainly stems from the fact that she does not have a name in particular until he bestows one on her.
Her tsundere nature finally gives way to her affections when she confesses them at the end of season 1. Shana does continue do it more in season two opening up gradually.
3. Nagi Sanzenin from Hayate the Combat Butler! [Hayate no Gotoku!]
- Episodes: 52
- Aired: April 2007 – March 2008
Hayate the Combat Butler follows Hayate Ayasaki who has the worst luck of all people on the earth. For this 16th birthday, his parents shift their million dollar debt onto him. He decided it’s time to stop being so nice and turn to a life of crime to get the things he wants. In the process of running away, he runs across Nagi Sanzenin who is being kidnapped. He saves her with his strength and she offers to pay his debt if he works it off as her butler. He agrees and moves in! She’s filthy rich. Along with Maria, the other maid, Klaus, the head butler and Nagi’s pet tiger, things are anything but easy for Hayate.
Nagi is the second, and my personal favorite, tsundere of the four. She immediately admits only to herself that she thinks Hayate is cool for saving her. She harbors this crush on him throughout the entire series. She will not ever be honest with herself. She repeatedly attacks Hayate when he is too close to her or says something to embarrass her. She also loves forcing Hayate to cosply for her own needs. Did I mention she’s a giant Otaku? For all these reasons and more, Nagi ranks at #3 on this list. Please check out this show! You will not be disappointed!
2. Louise aka Zero Louise from The Familiar of Zero [Zero no Tsukaima]
- Episodes: 26
- Aired: July 2006 – September 2006
Louise aka Zero louse is a second year student at a magic academy and is performing the ritual to summon her familiar. A giant explosion occurs and she summons an average boy from Japan. She uses him as a slave to do her bidding and chores. She eventually starts to treat him as an accomplice and they set out to find out why Louise can’t perform magic, how to fix it, and how to get the boy, Saito, back to Japan.
I’m sure if you have ever browsed the internet, then you’ve seen a meme or a photo of Louise. She has pink hair and is usually on top of a guy with a riding crop in her hand. That’s what she is famous for as a tsundere. She /beats/ poor Saito with a riding crop. She does this as punishment when he talks to other girls. She also has a very difficult time coming to terms with her feelings and does lash out because of them. She does, like a tried and true tsundere, come around to her feelings eventually and becomes honest with herself.
1. Taiga Aisaka from Toradora
- Episodes: 25
- Aired: October 2008 – March 2009
Taiga from Toradora is the final entry on this list! Toradora follows the quirky and odd relationship that Ryuji and Taiga have as Taiga is supposed to set up Ryuji with his best friend Minori. In exchange Ryuji helps Taiga with her everyday life. However, things don’t go quite as planned.
#1 is Taiga. Of all the anime that I’ve seen she clearly has to be the most tsundere character I have ever seen. Taiga’s outbursts are A class along with her violent reactions and her true denial of her feelings. Heck, even when she does come to terms with them, she has such a difficult time expressing them. Ryuji starts helping out with her chores, but “the most dangerous animal in school” aka Taiga has a dark past that she’s not willing to let go of.
What makes her such a great tsundere though is that it isn’t her dark past that dictates her actions, but rather her feelings. That’s why, with all of her hilarious outbursts, mannerisms, and comebacks she makes #1 on this list!!
There you have it! That’s all folks and that’s the top 10 Tsundere in Anime! I should note that there are lots and I’m sorry if your favorite didn’t make it on, but I would love to hear what yours are though! I did try to make this list as fair and balanced as possible. That being said, there is one character that we do need to discuss.
Senjigahara from Bakemonogatari is NOT a tsundere. There are many reasons why, and to be honest, she is much closer to a yandere or an ice queen than a tsundere. She refers to herself as a tsundere and a tsundere would NEVER EVER admit that that is what they are. Her past also commands her current actions, not love. This means that she doesn’t qualify to be a tsundere. Actually, she is actually probably closer to damaged goods than a yandere. I won’t spoil more, but feel free to check it out for yourself!
