Top 3 Comedy Anime Debuting Fall 2017 We Wanna See!

Introduction

If there is something that can be said about anime, it is that it will never be short on panty shots, tsunderes, and jokes. Sometimes anime are complete jokes and other times, the plot is just jokes, jokes, jokes! With Fall 2017, there are quite a few shows that are looking to make us laugh, and so we tried to narrow down those that we really want to see. An honorable mention that we really wanted to include is Blend S. Please check it out along with the three we are about to suggest to you!

1. Himouto! Umaru-chan R (2nd Season)

Umaru Douma has got it going on. She is at the top of her class, she has a banging body, and she is extremely popular for a high schooler. Everything about her seems perfect–till she comes home! Once she is home, it is time for copious amounts of anime, games, the internet, and snacks. Nothing is complete without snacks and her kings of all–cola and chips. Oh, and she lives with her brother Taihei who knows about her dual personality, and is accompanied by her friend Ebina who can eat everything in sight, Kirie who worships Umaru, and Sylphinford who thinks that Umaru is her rival, even though Umaru never asked for it.

This has been something that has been coming for a long time. The first season was like crack for your eyes and brain, so it was only a matter of time before Umaru got permission to terrorize Taihei again much to our laughter. This show is crass, funny, and everything that we aspire to be in life: Lazy blobs who live online. Get ready to laugh just like you did in season one because it is sure to be a fun ride again!

2. Imouto Sae Ireba Ii. (A Sister’s All You Need)

Itsuki Hashima is a prolific author who has but one medium for all of his works: a little sister. No really, that is all his novels focus on. If only he had one in real life! So, he lives his days with his younger brother Chihiro while being surrounded by Nayuta, the pervert and author as well, Miyako, a college student, Puriketsu, an illustrator, and Ashley, a tax accountant. Each day they eat, write, drink, and be merry!

This is revving up to be an excellent romcom with mild ecchi elements for sure. You know you are in for a good time when the PV opens up with Nayuta saying that Itsuki is “truly a dirty pervert.” Also, whenever alcohol is thrown into the mix, you know that it is going to get borderline raunchy and a lot funnier. The fact too that the series itself acknowledges that there are weirdoes in its series means that it is, thankfully, not taking itself too seriously. We cannot wait!

3. Hoozuki no Reitetsu 2nd Season (Hoozuki’s Coolheadedness)

Hell is busy. Hoozuki is busy running around taking care of demons that need assistance, balancing the budget for Japanese Hell, dealing with unruly spirits of the dead, and of course, beating the King of Hell into submission so that he will do his job. Hoozuki is one busy demon. Today too, somewhere in Hell, someone needs help. Hopefully it is not Hakutaku, his dreaded rival, or Beezelbub, the right-hand man to Satan of European Hell. Either way, he will have to keep his cool while not murdering everything else around him and keep a rather quaint and funny attitude.

Hoozuki is episodic which is good because you know what you are going to get: jokes and funny stories every single time. Sure, some episodes will be slightly slower than others, but on a weekly basis, you will not even notice because you will be laughing at whatever Shiro has managed to misunderstand, Hakutaku has managed to get himself into, or King Enma has managed to do. We really hope that the Tanuki-hating rabbit comes back as well. We could laugh at and with her all day every day. While there will not be a lot of plot, though there could potentially be some, there will still be a bountiful amount of jokes!

Final Thoughts

And there you have it! Those are the fall anime that we have our eyes on as we watch way too many shows. They may be like crack, but comedy anime are great when sprinkled in-between shows that are of more sober or darker moods. This is what we have our eyes on, but what about you?
