Top 5 Surprisingly Strong Infinite Dendrogram Characters

Fans of Infinite Dendrogram have no doubt been awed by some of the characters in the series. Despite their weaker looking frames and almost aloof personalities, some of these gamers control some wickedly powerful characters! From mech-piloting warriors to a guy who has massive counterattack power, Infinite Dendrogram is chock full of some amazing fighters. In today’s article, we wish to put the spotlight on some of these warriors in our aptly titled list of the Top 5 Surprisingly Strong Infinite Dendrogram Characters!

5. Hugo “Yuri Gautier” Lesseps

Huge “Yuri Gautier” Lesseps almost has a comical intro when he makes his first major appearance in the anime. Despite coming to the rescue of a NPC, Hugo gets a wicked beatdown and you almost feel as if he’s just a pretty boy. By the end of that same episode, though, Hugo pulls out his strength in the form of a literal mech that he can summon and use in battle!

While he might not have sword skills like Ray or the ability to fight outside the mech, Hugo can boost his powerful robot with the help of his Embryo Cocytus. With Cocytus’ power unleashed, Hugo’s mech gains ice-like armor and powers making him a truly scary threat on the battlefield.

4. Nemesis

Nemesis might only be an Embryo but we included her on the list for being truly a tough cookie. While she can’t fight like a regular player, Nemesis isn’t one to just sit back and watch as her master—Ray—gets hurt or is unable to defend himself. Thanks to her various sword abilities as an Embryo, Nemesis can summon a sword to battle with for a short time and has used this strength to aid Ray in battle. Nemesis has even taken direct blows for Ray in her human form, showing she’s willing to protect her master even at the cost of her own life.

3. Reiji “Ray Starling” Mukudori

The more recent player of Infinite Dendrogram, Reiji Mukudori takes on the name of Ray Starling and quickly shows he’s quite adept at surviving any challenge thrown his way. Ray achieves the rank of Paladin quickly in the anime series and even gets a powerful Embryo—Nemesis—before his first major battle.

Ray might look like a weak bandit at first but several episodes in, he’s got several big-ticket armor pieces that allow him to wield fire and miasma as well as two forms for Nemesis—a sword and halberd—to utilize. If Ray has any weakness it would be that he’s horrible with money and tends to blow it on lotteries and bets…

2. Shu “Shuichi Mukodori” Starling

Fittingly enough, Ray’s brother—Shuichi Mukodori—is also a player of Infinite Dendrogram but at first glance looks like a silly bear mascot. Under the alias of Shu Starling, this bear suit-wearing warrior is a force to be reckoned with. Due to Shu’s real-life martial arts abilities and talents—of which there are too many to name—his character in Infinite Dendrogram is quite overpowered. Not only does he have a massive defense but he’s able to wield larger weapons—like a gatling gun—with ease. Shu seems to love his brother Ray quite a bit and the two clearly are brothers through and through. Though, underneath that bear suit lies a character who knows more then he lets on.

boy.

1. Figaro “Endless Chain”

Figaro might look like a Robin Hood rip-off with his silly attire but, again, appearances can be quite deceiving. Figaro is considered a Superior in the world of Infinite Dendrogram thanks to his quick abilities and wickedly powerful chain. Figaro’s Embryo is also quite unique as it allows him to power up his weapons and unleash insane damage on his foe. Ray’s first introduction with Figaro was a lucky one, it could have been lights out for our main man if Figaro truly meant to kill him.

elf. Thanks to her various sword abilities as an Embryo, Nemesis can summon a sword to battle with for a short time and has used this strength to aid Ray in battle. Nemesis has even taken direct blows for Ray in her human form, showing she’s willing to protect her master even at the cost of her own life.
