Synopsis

The first astronaut in human history was a young, female vampire...

After a massive world war, the earth was split into two big countries; the Federal Republic of Zirnitra in the east, and the United Kingdom of Arnack in the west. Both of these countries were competing fiercely to be the first to dominate space.

In 1960 by the eastern calendar, the leader of the Republic, Gergiev, announced the start of the space program Project "Mechtat" (Dream). This project, if successful, would be the first to send a human into space.

At the same time, Lev Leps, a substitute astronaut candidate, is ordered to work on the secret "Nosferatu Project", experimenting with sending vampires into space before actual humans. Lev is assigned to monitor and train the test subject Irina Luminesk.

Lev and Irina will share many genuine experiences as they aim for the universe.

Irina Luminesk: Megumi Hayashibara

A vampire who was treated as a cursed race by humans, making her prejudiced against them. She aspires to be an astronaut and is determined to go to the Moon for a certain reason.

Lev Leps: Kouki Uchiyama

A lieutenant in the air force who dreamed of flying in the air since he was a child. He volunteers to be an astronaut candidate. He has a strong sense of justice and instinctively opposes anything that’s unjust.

Mikhail Yasin: Satoshi Hino

A lieutenant in the air force and a volunteer astronaut candidate. He is handsome and comes from a good family. He’s always a top performer and dutifully carries out his role as a leader. He is widely considered the most promising astronaut candidate.

Rosa Previtskaya: Mikako Komatsu

A lieutenant in the air force and the only female astronaut candidate. She’s a former ace pilot, praised as “The White Rose of Sungrad”. She hates losing and tends to treat the other candidates harshly.

Anya Simonyan: Hina Kino

A researcher who works for the Biomedical Research Institute. She specializes in vampire ecology research and is responsible for looking over Irina’s medical data. Because of those interactions, she doesn’t fear Irina and is friendly with her.
