TV anime Kujima Utaeba Ie Hororo Original Soundtrack Hororo Shoyo, composed by Manami Kakudo, to be released!

What You Need to Know:

  • TV anime Kujima Utaeba Ie Hororo began airing April 9, 2026. The manga was first serialized in Shogakukan’s monthly shonen manga magazine Gessan and has since won the U-NEXT award for the 2022 Next Manga Awards, been ranked first by multiple bookstores for manga recommended by staff in 2023, and been received enthusiastically by professional buyers. The story is a homely comedy that centers around an encounter between first-year middle school student Arata Kouda and Kujima, a strange creature that crossed over to Japan from Russia. This fateful encounter triggers a gradual change within his household.
  • The original soundtrack album compiling the series’ distinctive yet mysteriously nostalgic musical score will be released on June 24 and composed by musician and percussionist Manami Kakudo. This marks her first TV anime soundtrack release. Born from her rich talent and avant-garde ideas, her sounds are bold and seamless. She effortlessly crosses the boundaries of classical, ambient, folk, jazz and contemporary genres with her own performance using a variety of instruments including marimba, percussion, piano, and flute. Her extraordinary talent is on full display with this 40-track album. “Hororo Shoyo”, the ending theme for the series, was released earlier and will be included in the soundtrack. This album is more than an original soundtrack, but a collection that showcases the rich and diverse musicality of Manami Kakudo.
