This past Halloween, Aksys Games launched Death Mark for the PlayStation®4 system, the PlayStation®Vita system and Nintendo Switch™. Coming from the geniuses who brought us BlazBlu, Guilty Gear, and the Zero Escape series, this survival horror adventure game was highly anticipated and is also available in a Limited Edition packed with spine-chilling collectible goodies!
In Death Mark, there’s a strange rumor spreading in H City, Tokyo; those who bear a cursed Mark will die. This Mark, which resembles a dog bite-shaped scar, suddenly appears on the body and is said to bring about an unexplicable death. Now, having lost your memory, you stand before a mysterious house said to protect those who possess the Mark. As the doors swing open, the countdown to death has already begun.
Death Mark checks all the boxes for a quality exciting survival horror game. It will have you using your brain power to search your surroundings for clues to increase your odds of survival and fighting off ghosts to avoid an almost certain gruesome death at the “hands” of angry spirits. But just surviving these spirits’ attacks isn’t enough. Solving riddles and puzzles the wrong way could have you wishing you hadn’t survived at all.

On the Outside
The limited edition of Death Mark is kept safe inside a standard hardboard sleeve showcasing our main character surrounded by dark and creepy character images from the game in the front and a few screenshots and the traditional game synopsis/teaser on the back. When removed, the simple sleeve exposes a sturdy, high-quality box with gorgeous art from the game. In the front, we see a dark image of a school girl wearing a raincoat in a rainy Japanese alley, while the back gives us the creeps bearing a ghostly, bloody, freakishly tall, bride about to enter a phone booth. The box alone does an amazing job at giving you goosebumps and preparing you for what is to come in the game.
On the Inside
If you’re still feeling brave after taking a look at the box, you will be rewarded with some Limited Edition goodies! Of course, you’ll find the standard Death Mark PS4 game box, wrapped in cellophane as usual, but right next to it, gamers and collectors will find all kinds of things!
Exclusive 96-page full-color hardcover art book: The game case-sized book is wrapped in a protective band which keeps it closed and warns all to enter at their own risk, as there are “FATAL spoilers inside”! The cover is almost velvety to the touch and has a faded black leather look to it as well as a white outline of our main character and the game and book title in white as well. Try not to peek!
The art book includes character profiles with character designs for main characters, NPCs and spirits. Collectors are also treated to background sketches and designs as well as beautiful—yet super creepy—concept art that will either ruin the game for you if you peek too early or give you flashbacks to your experiences playing the game if you have the self-control to not look inside the art book before playing.
Spine-chilling music soundtrack: What may become many collectors’ favorite part of this limited edition bundleis the Death Mark Music Soundtrack. Featuring ten tracks from the game, you can relive your terrifying experiences any time, even when away from your PS4!
Temporary tattoos: Keeping the goodies in place is a white cardboard frame which holds a temporary tattoo sheet with two bite mark tattoo and one “Death Mark” tattoo so you can show off your new gaming obsession.
Honey's Final Verdict:
Not even thinking about how frightening, challenging and exciting Death Mark is as a game, this Limited Edition bundle is definitely worth it. Whether you’re a horror and/or survival game fan or just a gamer in general, it willlikely become your new prized possesion. Also, it’s almost Christmas! So, either go get it for yourself, a friend, or ask Santa for it! Halloween may have passed already, but we’re always down for a good scare! Especially when we can keep reliving it with awesome artwork and original music!

An otaku as far as I can remember. I grew up playing video games, watching anime in Spanish in Mexico where I grew up, and then was a member of both anime clubs at UTEP for my entire university life when I moved to Texas. I love going to cons, I used to cosplay (always hoping to get back into it), and I got to live in Japan for 2 years and be an otaku there! It was literally a dream come true! Now back in the US, I love being a writer and editor for Honey’s. It’s a great chance to keep up with all the latest anime each season and up to date with all otaku news. And without our readers, that wouldn’t be possible so, thank you for being a part of our hive!!
