Demon Slayer fans were in for a treat last weekend, as Aniplex of America and Crunchyroll hosted a red carpet event for the premiere of the highly anticipated screening of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - To the Swordsmith Village” at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles.
The event saw several special guests walking the red carpet, including Japanese voice actor Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro) and Producer Yûma Takahashi, as well as English voice actors Zach Aguilar (Tanjiro), Abby Trott (Nezuko), Aleks Le (Zenitsu), Bryce Papenbrook (Inosuke), Ray Chase (Tengen), and Brandon McInnis (Gyutaro), along with the anime characters’ mascots Inosuke, Zenitsu, and Nezuko.
Other notable talents attended the event, including actress Nia Long, actor Bourke Floyd, and WWE Star Thea Trinidad (Zelina Vega), as well as several social media influencers such as Straw Hat Goofy, The Anime Men, xChocobars, King Vader, and others.
Once inside the Orpheum Theatre, fans were welcomed by words from the Producer Yûma Takahashi and both voice actors for Tanjiro; Natsuki Hanae and Zach Aguilar who shared their thoughts about their work as the voice of the anime protagonist. The audience also got an exclusive show from the famous singer Aimer who performed the opening and ending songs of Demon Slayer Season 2 “Zankyosanka” and "Asa ga Kuru".
“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - To the Swordsmith Village” will hit theaters across North America starting March 3, 2023. The film presents a re-mastered version of the last two episodes for the Entertainment District Arc titled "Never Give Up" and "No Matter How Many Lives" followed by the first episode of the upcoming season, which had all new content for the enjoyment of the hundreds of anime fans attending the premiere.
Demon Slayer fans across the world have been eagerly awaiting the continuation of the story of Demon Slayer since February 2022 and the red carpet premiere sneak peek of the new season's first episode only added to the excitement. Re-watching the incredible fight scenes of the Entertainment District Arc on the big screen is really a thrilling cinematic experience that will leave audiences on the edge of their seats. If you have the chance to see this film in theaters, we recommend that you grab your tickets as soon as you can! It will not disappoint.
