2021 has been the year of the Slime. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (TenSura) came back with a fantastic second season in Winter 2021 that really tugged at your heart with many new characters included! However, Season 2 was split into two parts and while we had all waited patiently for more slime goodness, our wait wasn’t hard because we had Tensura Nikki (The Slime Diaries) keeping us company during Spring 2021 with its slice of life goodness!
Now it’s Summer 2021 and it’s time to join the journey of a normal slime again with Season 2 Part 2. Season 2 Part 1 definitely had a lot of new twists and turns involved in the story of the city of Tempest. With the season ending a few months ago, we’re here to help refresh your memory so that you’re up to date on everything you need to know before you watch TenSura Season 2 Part 2!
Rimuru Becomes A Demon Lord!
The main theme of Season 2 was how many other kingdoms such as the Kingdom of Falmouth couldn’t tolerate that a nation of monsters was making many diplomatic relationships with other kingdoms such as Dwargon. Unable to accept that Tempest was prospering just as much as Falmouth if not more, Falmouth tries to frame Tempest for not being hospitable enough because they’re monsters in nature. This results in a huge battle that ensues with some nudges from Clayman who had orchestrated the whole event so that Tempest will fall to ruin. With Falmouth trying to frame Tempest as the bad guys and Clayman using Myula to create an anti-magic barrier to weaken the people of Tempest, chaos descends upon Tempest. But Rimuru is pre-occupied elsewhere as one of the Holy Knights—Hinata, a pupil of Shizue—interferes, effectively delaying Rimuru from saving many people of Tempest including Shion.
Angered by his own rules of never attacking humans, Rimuru creates an extra anti-magic barrier to try to revive the people of Tempest according to an ancient legend told by Eren. Using the army of the Kingdom of Falmouth as offerings, Rimuru unleashes his wrath on them along with his other friends and he reawakens as a Demon Lord after summoning an ancient demon who he names Diablo. And let’s not forget to mention that Diablo’s power and personality are simply amazing and we cannot wait to see more of his sexy, smoldering evil character!
Veldora Has a Human Form
The final episode ended with Veldora reawakening as a human, thanks to Great Sage also being upgraded to a newer and more powerful being, Raphael. This is really exciting because Veldora was already a favorite character for many fans and this gives a lot of hope that he’s going to be included more in the plot. From the looks of it, Veldora also looks simply amazing and we can’t wait to see what sorts of mischief and fun we’re going to see with Rimuru and Veldora together. The friendship between a Slime Demon Lord and a Storm Dragon cannot be missed!
Clayman Is Going To Get His Ass Kicked
Well, let’s face it, the guy deserves to get his ass kicked after everything that has happened! Clayman was the mastermind behind all the problems that Tempest faced in Season 2 Part 1. The trailer for Part 2 teased that the battle with Clayman is going to come to a close this season and we’re all very excited to see Rimuru kick Clayman’s ass for messing with him and his people. However, the plot does become thicker as Milim is also amassing a huge army and it is still unknown how she’s being influenced by Clayman. We’ll simply have to watch the show to find out!
Final Thoughts
We’re really excited to see what kind of character Diablo is, the battle between Rimuru and Clayman, and what roles Veldora and Milim play in all of this in the new season!
