Yakusoku no Neverland chapter 138 moves away from our main kids and focuses on Don and Gilda as they continue their search for our two “good” demons. Though let us quickly focus on the first few panels of chapter 138 where we see one of Norman’s allies experimenting with lab rats. From what we can observe, they know Norman’s plan to kill the demons will work but they seem to be planning for a specific way to kill Mujika. Then from that rat becoming something else entirely we have to wonder…how are they going to kill her? Meanwhile, Don and Gilda are on the trail of Sonju and Mujika but are having little luck. While their companion with the two dogs seems to be helping immensely, they worry this powerful ally of Norman will stand in their way of saving their demon friends. The end of chapter 138 also shows that despite Don and Gilda’s best efforts to not make it obvious they want to save the two demons, our sharpshooter/hunter overhears them and is quick to call them out on it! Will she hurt our other two kids or maybe aid them? We won’t know until Yakusoku no Neverland chapter 139, but we can discuss the highlights of chapter 138 in the meantime!

1. Scary Plans

Norman’s allies have been shown to be…strange. From their first introduction, we have one kid who barely talks, another who seems to be extremely smart and another that has mental mood swings. That’s why we can only imagine anything these kids conjure as a “plan” to help Norman can be considered terrifying. That first few pages that showed the one scientist-like teen proves our point and we can only assume Mujika is in danger if Don and Gilda don’t save her fast!

2. Friend or Foe

Part of us wants to believe that the sharpshooter/tracker isn’t a bad girl. She might work for Norman and want to follow him into fire after she was saved by him before, but will she follow his every order? Maybe Don and Gilda can convince her that their plan makes sense? Final Thoughts

Yakusoku no Neverland chapter 138 was all around an excellent chapter! We get to have more time with our two kids and we see a search begin that might lead to potential dangers internally.
