Discussion Time

Yakusoku no Neverland…are you telling us what we hoped wouldn’t happen? Let us digress…Yakusoku no Neverland chapter 145 has Emma and Ray realizing that time is running out and they need to high tail it to the capital. However, by foot, the trip will take them too long and that would mean Norman’s plan will be already done with! Luckily for the two, some of the other kids were ready and nabbed some horses—a bit convenient but we’ll forgive it—so they can rush in and stop what could be the beginning of a new Demon-Human war. Norman in the meantime is with his band of followers as they discuss how their plan seems to be going without a hitch so far but Norman knows this could mean disaster if they aren’t wary. The biggest plot point—and why we started off a bit disjointed—comes from the moment Norman seems to be thinking about his friends and suddenly has a weird physical attack leading to him coughing up blood! While various kids race to end/begin a possible war, does it also count down the time on Norman’s life? Our hearts are heavy with this massive cliffhanger—that won’t be shown for two whole weeks—but let’s focus on what made chapter 145 so epic!

Why You Should Read Yakusoku no Neverland (The Promised Neverland) Chapter 145

1. The Race of Ideals

There’s an exciting element to this rat race between those who want to prevent the war between humans and demons all while others racing to begin a war. Whoever you decide to choose is right, watching Norman lead his team to ending the demons while Emma/Ray race to stop him and save the demons is an intriguing concept to Yakusoku no Neverland. We keep saying it, but we know a climax is happening soon…

2. Norman is Dying!?

Yakusoku no Neverland chapter 145’s biggest surprise isn’t the race to the capital or even who will act first but instead the fate of Norman. Norman was clearly a subject of experimentation as we see all of those Norman rescued from his facility being quite altered in some way or form. That being said, Norman seems to still be Norman but with that strange violent fit and the blood he coughed up it seems he might be doomed to perish. Is Norman going to die this time for real? We shall probably find out in several chapters, but for now, let’s hope our original smart kid can be saved before it’s too late.

Final Thoughts

Yakusoku no Neverland chapter 145 was an intense 19 pages and while the series seems to be going on break for a few weeks, we are left with mouths agape. Already the festival has begun and it seems explosions are booming. Top that off, Norman is clearly sick, which means death could be facing our smart child!
