Solo Leveling, Vol. 1 (comic) - OUT NOW!
This just had its debut this week, and it’s been extraordinarily popular already. Based off of a webnovel (which we also published in print last month), Solo Leveling is huge in the world of Korean webtoons. The premise is in a world where everyone is born with a certain, immutable rank, our hero discovers that he has the strange ability to level up from his lowly E-rank position. This book is in full color, in print in English for the first time.
Date A Live, Vol. 1 (light novel) - 3/23/2021
Date A Live is a very different take on a dystopic world. Here, the planet is plagued by quakes, which are caused by Spirits. These Spirits can only be eliminated one of two ways – either by force, or by…being taken out on a date and made to fall in love with protagonist Shido Itsuka. It’s a lighthearted romcom with massive stakes, and popularized by the anime.
I Cannot Reach You, Vol. 1 - 3/9/2021
We are continuing to expand our BL offerings! While Sasaki and Miyano is fluffy, funny, and self-aware, I Cannot Reach You is a more straightforward and somewhat melancholic story about childhood friends. Kakeru knows that he’s less smart, less attractive, and less cool than his best friend Yamato. He could never be the one Yamato loves…but still, he wishes they could connect. This one is bound to be full of dramatic ups and downs!
Yokohama Station SF - 3/30/2021
This is a somewhat different offering than our other novels – a science-fiction story about a dystopian future where Yokohama Station has taken over much of Japan. In this world, there is life within the station, and the life of the exiled outside the station. Protagonist Hiroto has only known life on the outside, until he is given an 18 Ticket, which allows him to enter the mysterious station for five days. Needless to say, the world within is not what he imagined…
