Today, we plan on talking about these shows—two of them in particular—that should be on your watch list! Tada-kun wa Koi wo Shinai and Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii might be full length episodes, unlike Tsurezure Children, but these romances stories embody what we loved about our short romance tales and we know you’re going to like them both! Through the viewfinder, Mitsuyoshi Tada attempts to capture beauty in the form of cherry blossoms that have gone full bloom. While Tada can find the beauty of a lovingly taken shot, he unfortunately can’t find love in the same way. As he’s taking the shot, Tada meets a girl traveling abroad named Teresa Wagner and ends up helping her by taking her to his grandfather’s coffee shop. Little does Tada realize that this chance encounter might bring him the love he’s never known all along.

Major Similarities Between Tsurezure Children and Tada-kun Koi wo Shinai

1. Chance Encounter

Who doesn’t love a good romance tale that starts with the cliched—but still very sweet—random encounter that leads to friendship and something more? Tada-kun Koi wo Shinai captures that similarity of some of the relationships formed in Tsurezure Children and it makes both shows resonate brilliantly. Though don’t expect the randomness of Tada-kun Koi wo Shinai to be cliché like the theme, there’s more to this romance tale than meets the eye.

2. Slice of Life Comedy in every way

As ridiculous as Tsurezure Children was at times with it’s romance tales, there was still a reality to how life can sometimes be for a school student in love. Tada-kun Koi wo Shinai embraces this slice of life theme to make for people living their lives—even if they aren’t all living normal lives—to create a realistic feeling rom-com. Nothing beats a true to life story as it gives romantics a hope that they too can shape a romance from what seems like just a normal day outing.

Liked Tsurezure Children? Watch Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii!

  • Episodes: 11
  • Aired: Apr, 1018- Present

Growing up is a reality we all face in life. Whether we are gamers or otaku, we must face adulthood as best as we humanely can. Both Momose Narumi and Nifuji Hirotaka understand this all too well as each one of these “adults” is unwilling to leave their loves behind. Though maybe this is a good thing as both Hirotaka and Narumi realize that loving one another for their hobbies and eccentrics is what matters most! Join them both as they work together, love together and enjoy their hobbies together in Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii!

Major Similarities Between Tsurezure Children and Watch Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii

1. Quirky but Relatable characters

Though it might be hard to believe that real life people can be compared to anime ones, both Tsurezure Children and Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii have main characters who are quite relatable. Gamers who spend hours playing and only a few sleeping and otaku who live for their romantic ships really exist here outside of anime and that’s why it’s easy to identify with characters from Tsurezure Children and Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii.

2. The Balance of Love

In Tsurezure Children, there are numerous characters—such as Gouda Takeru and Akagi Masafumi—who live lives less focused on love and on their personal endeavors. This same element is seen in Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii where gaming and anime comes second sometimes to work. Yet, both series show characters who realize the balances of love and life as they strive to do what needs to be done and still apply themselves to important things like school, sports and work. Though, equally some of these characters should try a bit harder to focus on the main things in life than the secondary elements.

Final Thoughts

Romance anime can come in sometimes overly extravagant ways or very grounded to reality. However, romance anime can also be like the shows we mentioned above where there’s an added theme of hilarious reality to make for some very fun to watch rom-coms with heart and laughter combined. Have you seen any of the three shows mentioned above? Tell us what your thoughts on them are in the comments down below!
