Produced by the acclaimed studio A-1 Pictures (Sword Art Online, anohana~The Flower We Saw That Day~), BLEND-S features Yosuke Okuda (High School Fleet) for Character Designer and Ryoji Masuyama (Gurren Lagann, Occultic;Nine) as Director. The series became an instant viral hit in U.S. with its addictively catchy opening theme song “Bon Appéti~t©S” sung by three members of the voice cast: Azumi Waki (How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord), Akari Kito (Record of Grancrest War), and Anzu Haruno (Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs). As the tagline “Everything’s a treat - even being stomped on” hints, the series features a colorful cast of characters who work at a cafe called Café Stile, where the waitresses are assigned an archetype personality when serving customers. These roles include the tsundere, idol, little sister (or imouto) and the super sadist, or do-S, type to which the main character, Maika, has been reluctantly assigned.
