Characters & Voice Actors
Appare Sorano: Natsuki Hanae
He is a 19-year-old boy who grew up in a rural port town. He has been interested in machines since he was a child, and he is self-taught to create his own original machines. Although Appare is a talented mechanic with a sharp mind and great skills, he is socially-inept considering that machines are his only friends. When he starts playing with them, he completely loses track of his surroundings. He is also a dreamer who loves to read stories that depict journeys to the moon.
Kosame Isshiki: Seiichiro Yamashita
He is a 21-year-old low-ranked government official who lives in the same town as Appare. His mother died when he was a child. He is a dexterous man that has learned to do everything, from cooking to laundry and cleaning, in order to make a living while looking after his elderly father and young sister. He is a rational man who is often prone to worry about others, but at the same time, his selflessness and kindness lead him to be manipulated by the irrational and reckless Appare. Although he is very proficient with the sword, he doesn't like to fight.
Hototo: Aoi Yuki
A proud 11-year-old Native American boy still in his infancy. During his journey of revenge, he meets Appare and the others. He has a mature personality despite his young age and hates to be treated as a child. He has inherited the necessary knowledge to survive in nature from his ancestors, such as obtaining food and water and making weapons.
Zin Sharlen: Sora Amamiya
The only female racer of the transcontinental race. She is a Chinese immigrant whose parents run a laundromat. Accompanied by a great passion for racing, she starts working as a handyman for a racing team, but because of her being a woman, she spends her days in agony, unable to get a chance. After her encounter with Sorano, she starts feeling the urge of wanting to give-up.
Al Lion: Soma Saito
He is a 19-year-old young boy from Europe, the youngest of three siblings. He takes part in the race as representative of the big automobile company “BNW” owned by his family. His selfishness makes him a good rival to Sorano, but he has also a great sense of justice, which makes him an honest and fair competitor.
Sophia Teylor: Fumiko Orisaka
She is a kind-hearted woman who is hired by Al's father to look after Al. Since their relationship has always been like brother and sister since she was a child, she has the power to calm the free and uncontrolled Al.

Honey’s Highlights
Two Japanese men racing across the USA in a steam-powered machine? Well, this is different.
Please, please, please, pleeeeeeeease be similar to Redline!!
Appare and Kosame are worlds apart, so I can already imagine we're in for a good laugh.
We're about to see who is better, a bunch of skilled drivers, or an engineering genius!
Three Episode Impressions
What are two Japanese guys in kimono doing in America? Well, this anime's first 3 episodes explain that all too well: Appare wanted to pursue his dream of discovering new lands, and unintentionally dragged his tutor to their biggest adventure ever. What started as a little travel through Japan ended in a whole different continent!
The Trans-America Wild Race is about to start, and so far, we got nothing but an introduction to most characters involved. A colorful cast, a lot of mechanical knowledge involved, and all the adventures and perils of traveling the USA from coast to coast driving a handmade car. Appare's obsession makes for a very promising anime, and we didn't even leave Los Angeles yet!
