Mmm not so fast. This may be an action, fantasy anime, but I don't thing there will be a bunch of lolis running around.

It does feel a bit like Ghost in the Shell though. Just you know.... minus the police and the crime. Chobits anyone? RyuZU is a 'slave' to Naoto.

The world has been destroyed though, so this could almost be like Higashi no Eden!

This may be sudden, but the world was destroyed a long time ago. Everything on this dead earth has been reproduced and recreated by clockwork - a clockwork planet. One day, a black box suddenly falls on the house of Naoto Miura, a failure of a high-school student. Inside was an Automata girl.

A cycle of ruin and preservation. A world built anew and unchanging humanity. When the screams of ideals and reality rise, two meetings turn the wheels of fate!

Three Episode Impression

This is yet again another mecha-themed anime with quite an interesting twist to it. The plot is set when the Earth suddenly reached the end of its life. When all hope seems lost, a clocksmith appeared and was determined to recreate the Earth with nothing but gears. The clocksmith responsible for Earth’s revival, Y, called the newly formed planet made with nothing but gears, the Clockwork Planet.

Naoto Miura, is a gear nerd that doesn’t have any skills to repair anything, until one day a mysterious pod containing a defective automata, crashes into his home. Despite lacking the skills to fix anything, Naoto is gifted with the ability to have inhuman hearing capabilities, which enabled him to fix the defect of said automata, RyuZU. The third episode of the series, introduced both RyuZU and Naoto with the ‘supposed’ owner of RyuZU, Marie Bell Breguet. The series looks to be good out of the starting gate with a bit of action, suspense, and a few cute romantic comedy scenes, I’d say this show looks promising to watch!

Characters & Voice Actors List

Naoto Miura

Voice Actor: Yoshino Nanjou

Naoto is a machine otaku with a particularly good sense of hearing. He wears noise cancelling headphones daily. He has no interest in beautiful women, but if it is about Automata RyuZU, then he is all ears.

Voice Actor: Ai Kakuma

RyuZU is an Automata from the first set of the Initial Y series capable of fulfilling any order (Your slave). She serves Naoto because he fixed her after no one would for 200 years due to a mechanical breakdown. Hiding behind her beautiful facade is an unbelievably sharp tongue.

Marie Bell Breguet

Voice Actor: Saori Oonishi

Mari is the daughter of the president of one of the five major companies, Breguet. She is a top rate watch engineer for this company, and it is the first in history, to become a borderless master guild. She is a genius young girl who has a bad mouth, an unyielding spirit, and is quite confident.

Vainney Halter

Voice Actor: Kenichirou Matsuda

Vainney is a former soldier and is Marie’s bodyguard. He has the newest automated body available and is a combat specialist. He has been with Marie ever since she was a child and provides mental and emotional support for her as well.
