What You Need to Know:
- Netflix has already forged partnerships with Bones, Production I.G., And WIT Studio, and now they have announced that they will be working with Sublimation to produce an anime adaptation of Dragon's Dogma.
- Sublimation is handling the recently announced "Shikizakura" due out in 2020 and the FlyingDog anniversary anime movie "Cider no You ni, Kotoba ga Wakiagaru. No further staff nor a release date has been announced yet.
- The game was originally released in 2012 for the PS3 and XBOX 360 before getting a expansion version, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen which came out for the same systems in April 2013 before getting a re-release for the PS4 aod Xbox One in 2017. Interesting. More and More games are being turned into anime. I wonder what that means for the remaining manga and light novels out there in the world.
Anime has adapted games for a long time now. I think they are trying to tap into a wider world market by going for titles that Western fans will instantly recognize.
