What You Need to Know:
- Hugo, also known as Andore, was a character in the Final Fight series and eventually became a popular playable character in the Street Fighter series. Hugo made his debut in Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact but became well known in Street Fighter III: Third Strike and eventually made his debut in Ultra Street Fighter IV, alongside his Final Fight comrades Poison, Cody, and Guy.
- As mentioned earlier, Hugo is based off of the real pro wreslter Andre the Giant, who was truly a giant in real life. Hugo stands at 8ft tall, which at the time, was considered to be the tallest of all Street Fighter characters, until Abigail came in and took the throne away. Hugo is known for being an incredibly menacing and powerful character, as one mistake from the other player will result in getting command grabbed into a KO.
- A little fun fact is that Alex is based off of popular wreslter Hulk Hogan and in Third Strike, both Hugo and Alex when in battle, would recreate the famous match the two had during Wreslemania III. Street Fighter is known to pay a lot of homages to real life people and so it's no surprise to see that the iconic Andre the Giant is portrayed so well by Hugo, and is actually very fun to use! Happy birthday big man!
This man was very scary to run into while playing 3rd Strike.
I loved him a lot more in Ultra Street Fighter 4! He was really cool looking!
