I’m incredibly honored to be singing the opening theme song “Umi to Shinju” for the wonderful anime that Fena: Pirate Princess is. I’m thrilled to have the chance to work with Kajiura on this song. The first time I heard it, I was overcome with excitement and wondered what kind of story would start to unfold. While receiving directions from Kajiura in the recording studio and imagining the magnificent world of the anime, I put all of my determination into the song and sang my heart out. I would be so happy if you could feel the emotions of the characters setting off on their new adventure as you listen to the song. I hope that it becomes a song of courage that gives everyone who listens to it that extra little push of encouragement that they need.

    JUNNA’s Profile

    Born: November 2, 2000
    Birthplace: Aichi, Japan
    Talent Agency Affiliation: CUBE. Inc.

Along with the Mobile Suit Gundam series and Neon Genesis Evangelion, the Macross series is one of Japan’s three greatest robot animes. JUNNA is the singing voice behind ace vocalist Mikumo Guynemer of the idol group Walküre in Macross’ latest TV anime installation, Macross Delta. Across Macross’ 39-year history, JUNNA is the youngest (age 15 at the time of the initial broadcast) singer to debut in the series. In 2017, Walküre’s first album, Walküre Attack!, won the 31st Japan Gold Disc Award for Animation Album of the Year. Both in name and reality, they took the anime music world by storm. They also attracted a lot of fans by performing at Japan's largest outdoor music festival ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL. At Yokohama Arena, where they had a solo concert, 22,000 feverish fans gathered over the course of two days.

Their popularity isn’t limited to Japan, and Live Viewings have been held at movie theaters in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea. They have been invited to various events abroad such as an international anime event held at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai and an anime expo in Los Angeles, USA.

In May of 2020, Walküre’s latest single, “Mirai wa Onna no Tame ni Aru,” soared to the #1 spot on Oricon’s weekly singles chart.

In June 2017, JUNNA debuted as a solo artist with her first mini-album Vai! Ya! Vai! In November of the same year, her first single “Here” was released and used as the opening theme song for the anime The Ancient Magus Bride. On release day, it dominated the charts at #1 on ten of the major music streaming sites, and was later certified as a Gold Disc by the Recording Industry Association of Japan. Then in December 2020, she released her latest album 20×20 (twenty by twenty), with song and lyric contributions made by contemporary poet Tahi Saihate, and artists Kenji Furuya (Dragon Ash), Xavier Boyer (Tahiti 80), Suganami Eijun (THE BACK HORN), and Hotaka Yamashita (Ikimono-gakari). “Saihate” was chosen as the ending theme because Director Nakazawa said it perfectly matched the world of Fena: Pirate Princess. I fell in love with this song the moment I heard it, so I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity! I’m so happy! I’m sure that Fena’s beautiful innocence will give courage to many people. I can say with confidence that this is a great song! Through this anime, I hope it will spread across the seven seas and throughout the whole world!

    Minori Suzuki’s Profile

Minori Suzuki’s artist photo has been revamped. In a desolate landscape, she stares at you with a sombre expression on her face. What do the reflection of herself and the key she’s holding in her hand represent? Keep a close eye on any new information that’s released.

In spring of 2015, at the age of 17, Suzuki auditioned for the new diva role for the TV anime Macross Delta and beat out nearly 8,000 other auditionees. In April of 2016, she officially started her voice actress work, voicing Freyja Wion, one of the heroines of Macross Delta. She is also active as an ace vocalist in the idol group Walküre in the series.

In January 2018, she had her solo debut singing “FEELING AROUND,” the opening theme song for the TV anime Ms. Koizumi Loves Ramen Noodles, which got public attention due to Koji Mihara’s (Frederic) contributions to the song. In December of that year, she released her much-anticipated first album. On March 31, 2019 she held her tour entitled “1st LIVE TOUR 2019~Miru Mae ni Tobe!~,” performing at Zepp music halls in Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, and Fukuoka, where she was very well-received. She released her second album, Jo Mino, in August 2020. Three anime theme songs, “Dame wa Dame” (ending theme for Magical Sempai), “Yozora” (ending theme for Asteroid in Love), and “Ephemera wo Atsumete” (ending theme for Ascendance of a Bookworm Part 2) were included in the album, which received favorable reviews. Suzuki is currently performing in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka for her second tour entitled 2nd LIVE TOUR 2021~Make My Story!~.

Suzuki is currently one of the most powerful voice actress artists in the business. Using her outstanding vocal ability, wide-range of expressions, and striking smile as her weapon, she energizes everyone who watches her perform. She also has an impressive resume as a voice actress, voicing characters such as Hajime Fujiwara from The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls, Akiho Shinomoto from Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card, Uiui from SHOW BY ROCK!! Mashumairesh!! and Ena Shinonome from Project Sekai: Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku.
