In our other article, we detailed how to complete the challenges for the first part of the Battle Pass Week 1 challenges. This time, we’re focusing purely on the ones that require searching or traveling, essentially ones that can’t be finished merely through playing the game. It’s pretty early in Battle Pass, so get ready to hunt!

Free Tier Challenges

  • Deal damage with SMGs to Opponents - 5 Battle Stars
  • Search a Supply Llama - 5 Battle Stars
  • Clinger, Stink Bomb, or Grenade Eliminations - 10 Battle Stars

Battle Pass Challenges

  • Search Chests in Snobby Shores - 5 Battle Stars
  • Search Floating Lightning Bolts - 5 Battle Stars
  • Follow the Treasure Map found in Risky Reels - 10 Battle Stars
  • Eliminate opponents in Retail Row - 10 Battle Stars

Search 7 Chests in Snobby Shores

There are a lot of chests in this area, given the name, the residents must have been affluent. For easier completion, it’s best to pick a location that you’ll continuously land at so you can get a guaranteed chest. In the middle of the five houses, there’s one with a basketball court; and from the air, it's easy to tell whether the chest has spawned or not. You can grab that chest repeatedly and try to loot the surrounding areas.

The second to last house south has the most chest spawns with three possible to loot so that’s another good spot. The only house you want to avoid is the top one at the far north since it has zero. A dud, if you will.

Search Floating Lightning Bolts

You can’t miss these floating around the sky. You’ll probably get shot down easily in solos trying to grab them all. You might want to risk it in 50v50 or another LTM and grab as many as you can.

Follow the Treasure Map found in Risky Reels

The end of this journey will lead you to the tunnel at Tomato Town. Overlooking the pizza shop, drop down to the tunnel’s ledge and head towards the edge. There, you will find it. You should probably have a gun before doing this as you want to fight off anyone else trying to make easy pickings of you.

Road Trip Hidden Battle Star Week 1

This one is hidden in the umbrella-shaped rock quarry at coordinate E3. At the northeast section of the quarry, there’s a lip where the Battle Star is hiding. Claiming this will net you an extra tier completion on your Battle Pass equivalent to 10 Battle Stars, but only if you’ve completed all challenges for Week 1. If you haven’t already, finish those first and then claim this one.

Final Thoughts

It’s that time again in the Fortnite season. The first week of Season 5 has already brought a lot of changes, and if you want any hope of unlocking the maxed out Drifter and Ragnarok skins before the end, you’ll need to get grinding. We’ll keep up with you on your journey, so keep playing, and leave a comment if you want to share!
