So this follows an angel who acts perfect at first then turns into a total otaku slob? Did someone say, the supernatural version of Umaru-chan?

It sure has that feeling from the PV/trailer! The director and studio is the same, too!
bee-happy1 Gabriel DropOut - Winter 2017
This looks like it will be funny! I wonder if this will be more slice of life or supernatural?

Synopsis

Gabriel, the top student at angel school, has descended to earth to show humans the right path! However, she gets a little too accustomed to human culture and ends up skipping school all the time, spending her days lazing around absorbed in online games. What happens when Vignette, the demon who’s always willing to help, tries to make this fail-en angel go to school?

Three Episode Impression

Gabriel is an angel. She has come to earth to help humans and live among them. After getting sucked into an online game, she becomes human garbage and cannot be bothered to do anything. This includes going to school, so she stays at home, indoors, all day long playing games. She sounds like she would get along well with Subaru from Re: Zero. With the help of Vingette, a demon who is nothing like a demon, she starts to go to school. There she meets Satanichia who is supposed to be the future queen of hell, but really belongs playing in a sandbox. She cannot sense flavors, so when Gabriel tries to mess with her food and make it spicy, Satanichia just chows down and it backfires on Gabriel. Raphiel is the fourth supernatural being in the series and is a complete sadist. Raphiel as well exists for good comedic moments, but will probably not go too far. Gabriel drop out is very much worth the watch and for people on the fence, the series does have the 4 girls doing semi-cute, slice of life things and they all end up going to school. It almost feels like Anne Happy just with one less girl. Still worth the watch for the laughs.

Characters & Voice Actors List

Gabriel

Voice Actor: Miyu Tomita

Gabriel is set to graduate at the top of her class from Angel School, when she one day is utterly mesmerized by the pleasures of the human world. Ever since she descended from heaven, she has been a useless angel. She is always just sort of lounging around.

Vignette

Voice Actor: Saori Oonishi

Vignette is a demon but she is also very serious. She always ends up lending a hand to those in need. She also always appears wherever Gabriel is and takes care of her.

Satanichia

Voice Actor: Naomi Oozora

Satanichia is a demon who has her eyes on becoming the next great demonic lord and is always putting on airs. You can’t hate her actions though as she is a bit of an idiotic demon. Satanichia has chosen Gabriel as her rival Gabriel as her rival it seems, but Gabriel does not really care for her..

Raphiel

Voice Actor: Kana Hanazawa

Raphiel is an angel who at first glance appears to be the pinnacle of holiness, however she is actually a massive sadist. She is an old friend of Gabriel. Raphiel ridicules others as a way to kill time. She is the owner of a pair of massive boobs.
