Gakusen Toshi Asterisk 2nd Season: The Academy City on the Water
Synopsis
Invertia, an unprecedented catastrophe in the twentieth century wherein a rain of meteorites struck earth, destroying many cities across the globe.
However, from these meteorites a previously unheard of element, Mana, was discovered. This element greatly improved human science and gave birth to a new human race called Genestella, those who have special powers.
Rikka, the school city located on the water’s surface, is surrounded by six schools. Nicknamed Asterisk, it is also the stage for Festa, the world’s largest form of entertainment battle.
Seidoukan Academy student Ayato Amagiri who participated in the Phoenix tag battle, is aiming to conquer the competition with Gruen Rose, Julis.

Ayato Amagiri
Voice Actor: Atsushi Tamaru
A scholarship student who transferred into Seidoukan Academy High School. He has a light-hearted, all-round good guy, but he can be a bit of an idiot and is insensitive when it comes to romantic relationships, which he has no experience in. Raised in the Amagiri household, which has been using the ancient martial arts technique Amagiri Shinmeiryuu for generations, he is highly skilled in this art. Although he was born with a large amount of Mana, that power is now sealed.
Julis-Alexia von Riessfeld
Voice Actor: Ai Kakuma
The first classmate Ayato meets at the academy. With bright pink hair and blue eyes, she is the princess of Lieseltania, a small country in Europe. Due to her prideful and brash nature, she doesn’t have many friends, but she also has a kind and docile side to her, too. Her skills as a witch are top class even on Asterisk, and she is the fifth best ‘Page One’ student, with the ability to manipulate flames. She also goes by the alias Gruen Rose.
Claudia Enfield
Voice Actor: Nao Touyama
The school council president of Seidoukan Academy. A well-to-do young lady from the Integrated Enterprise Foundation who supports the school. She is always smiling, gentle and polite with everyone, but behind this front hides a scheming personality. The number two Page One student. Also known by her alias, Parca Morta.
Saya Sasamiya
Voice Actor: Shiori Izawa
Ayato’s childhood friend, who has lived next to the Amagiri household since her elementary school years. The daughter of a meteoric engineering researcher father, she entered Seidoukan Academy in order to advertise the Luxes that her father builds. She is quiet and expressionless, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have feelings - she just doesn’t show them. She’s an expert at wielding guns, but she doesn’t have much interest in battles, and doesn’t participate in official ranking battles.
Kirin Toudou
Voice Actor: Ari Ozawa
A first year at Seidoukan Academy Middle School. Raised in the Toudouryuu family, which has many followers, she has a natural talent for swordsmanship. She is in fact more skilled than Ayato, but she’s at an age where she is timid and withdrawn. She is undefeated in both duels and official ranking battles, and is the number one student at Seidoukan. Also goes by the alias Shippuu Jinrai.
Eishiro Yabuki
Voice Actor: Yuuma Uchida
Ayato’s roommate. He’s knowledgeable about happenings both inside and outside of school, and tells Ayato all kinds of information. He may look like he doesn’t take anything seriously, but he follows through when it’s important.
