[Thirsty Thursday] Top 5 Gakusen Toshi no Asterisk Ecchi Scenes

Introduction

Asterisk War follows the story of Ayato Amagiri, a Genestella, a new breed of humans born with amazing physical skills. We meet him as he enters Seidoukan Academy, one of six prestigious Genestella training schools. He didn’t just enter the school as a way of learning about his powers, he also comes to the school to solve a mystery. Ayato is searching for his sister, an extremely powerful Genestella who went missing from the school. He will have many challenges as he fights his way closer to the truth. The most important way students hone their skills is by entering festas, fierce combat tournaments that pit students against each other and are considered a form of entertainment and gambling revenue for many.

Ayato enters the school with his head down, wanting to stay out of the spotlight in order to search for his sister. An incident while trying to return a handkerchief and a run-in with a beautiful and very powerful Genestella has him challenged to a duel in a very public way. He must fight, he must win, and he still must find his sister. Ayato’s journey will be a long and difficult one, and because it is an ecchi, harem, action anime he must also balance the feelings of a multitude of young ladies during his quest.

5. Episode 1

The scene begins with tight shots of a girl on a balcony as a handkerchief is blown from her hand by a gust of wind. We watch it float across the sky and gradually descend. Before it hits the ground, it is caught by a boy. The young man looks up at the high rise and hears the girl curse that the precious piece of cloth was lost. Born a Genestella, he gathers his power and leaps into the air, bounding off tree limbs and railings to the open window. The boy, Ayato, smiles and begins to speak before blushing in embarrassment. The young lady, Julis, to which the handkerchief belonged, was in a state of undress. She begins to pull up her skirt and her white dress shirt still unbuttoned. She screams at the intrusion, attempting to cover herself as he covers his eyes. We get to see all of it. We could see the perfect matched set of panties and bra with pink ruffles and bows; her figure is a representation of beauty that leaves us in the 3D world jealous of Ayato in the first two minutes and 30 seconds of Asterisk War. A scene, for all its simplicity, is a perfect scene for this list of ecchi moments.

4. Episode 7

Ayato had an eventful morning finding himself in a duel to help protect a girl’s honor. The strange twist was that in order to do that he had to duel the girl he was trying to protect. He ended up losing that duel, which isn’t a surprise when you consider it was against Kirin, the number one ranked student at the school. The duels are most often decided by your opponent’s ability to render you unconscious or break the school badge on your lapel. Ayato had his badge broken and was told that he could pick up a new one from Claudia, the student council president. We were introduced to voluptuous and flirty Claudia in the first episode. We get our ecchi treat when Ayato tracks Claudia down in the Student Council Spa and Pool. The blonde-haired beauty is waiting for Ayato in a barley-there bikini bottom and a top that cups her full bosom. She flirts, she swims, she makes sure Ayato, and us the viewer, can get a good look at all she has to offer. The flirty student council president’s sultry swimwear certainly is worth a mention on this ecchi countdown.

3. Episode10

Irene Urzaiz and Priscilla Urzaiz are sibling Genestella, each with very different powers. Irene has amazing speed and strength. She also has the ability to wield the Gravi-sheath, a scythe like weapon that can control gravity. Irene is a formidable opponent with apparent anger issues and tends to get a little out of control when she accesses her powers. Priscilla is the complete opposite of her sister. She has a calm demeanor and her powers don’t express themselves in an offensive way. Priscilla is usually the one that helps her sister retain control when she is accessing her powers. Priscilla is also the one who can supercharge Irene’s powers. Irene’s powers are similar to a vampire in that blood gives her strength and added stamina and speed. The sibling bond they share is truly one tied by blood, considering Priscilla lets her sister feed off of her during competition. You don’t have to worry about Priscilla, her Genestella power is one of regeneration. We get our first look at this sibling relationship when the sisters are battling in the festa. Irene steps up to her sister tells her “I’m taking a little,” before walking behind her. Priscilla looks down then slowly pulls at her neck tie and begins to loosen her blouse. We watch as Irene brings her lips close to her sister’s neck before bearing her fangs and slowly sucking the blood from her sibling’s neck. It’s a very sexy image of sisterly love that truly belongs on this lovely list.

2. Episode 7

Ayato and his once adversary and now love struck kouhai Kirin are ambushed as they are out for a run along the sea wall. The battle is fierce and for a while they have the upper hand. The advantage and the road they were battling on falls apart and the two plunge down into a partially flooded ballast tank. Remember the whole island is made up of floating platforms. The water is cold and the two get soaked and even after they defeat the monster that was waiting for them, they’re still stuck in the damp dark cavern. The two do the best thing they can do to stay warm and keep their modesty. Ayato and Kirin strip down to their underwear, lay their clothes out to dry and sit back to back. Ayato may only get a glimpse of the amply endowed freshman, but we get shot after shot of her siting in a white bra and panties. We know it’d be creepy to stare if Kirin wasn’t 2D and we absolutely know it’d be weird if we didn’t because she is. A second simple scene finding a spot on our ecchi list.

1. Episode 10

Kirin and her festa partner Saya, who also happens to be Ayato’s childhood friend, just defeated two really difficult to defeat opponents from a rival school. The long, sweaty match had the two girls using guns and swords fighting fists and staffs. You’d think it would easy considering the guns and swords part, but it wasn’t. The two young teens share some talk over the divider in in the shower about the match and their strategy. We now feel obliged to share with you some of the attributes of the ladies in question. Kirin, as we know, is well-developed for a freshman, Saya, a sophomore, is far, far, far less so. The juxtaposition of the two would lead you to believe that the ages are reversed. When the two get out of the shower and go to get changed, Saya misremembers an adage about if you massage someone’s breast yours grow bigger and attempts to grope Kirin. The short scene of Saya trying to grapple and Kirin swatting her hands away looks like it might turn into a full tilt brawl until the doorbell rings. Saya, knowing that it’s Ayato coming to congratulate them, opens the door. The buck-naked girl just stands there in the middle of the room not only flashing a shocked Ayato but flashing the “V” for victory. Saya’s stark-naked salute solidifies her spot as number one on this ecchi list.

Final Thoughts

Ayato faces many challenges in his attempt to discover the fate of his sister, defend his friends, manage his relationship with his tsundere princess girlfriend and win the festas. He does have quite a harem to keep him occupied, too. The harem is excellent in diversity, giving the viewer a chance to find a girl to be jealous over. We get a lot of development in plot over the course of the two seasons in total. Asterisk war has a lot to offer from the easy and classic ecchi moments to some clever dialogue and lots and lots of action.
