Bocchi Hitori

Voice Actor: Chisaki Morishita

Bocchi is a new student at Sakura’s Daini middle school. She is terrible at communicating with others. She makes a promise with her only friend Kai who has been her only friend since elementary school, that Bocchi will become friends with everyone in her class before she graduates from middle school. Bocchi worries about everything though and is constantly approaching everything by starting with a tactical plan. She doesn’t really have a good sense of fashion.

Nako Sunao

Voice Actor: Minami Tanaka

Nako is Bocchi’s very first friend in middle school. She sits in front of Bocchi in their class. Nako has a cool air about her and bad habit of giving others a slightly scary impression, but she is actually kind and cares for her friends. She is helping Bocchi with her plan to become friends with their classmates. Nako is the type skip doing something if she doesn’t want to.

Aru Honshou

Voice Actor: Akari Kitou

Aru is Bocchi’s class vice-representative. She is a serious girl who always has a smile on her face! Everyone comes to Aru with their problems. However, she is secretly the unfortunate type. Only Bocchi and Nako know her true nature. She used entering into middle school as a ways for her to become the perfect person and is working hard towards that goal.

Rakita Sotoka

Voice Actor: Yuuko Kurose

Rakita has blonde hair, blue eyes, a great body, and is the kind of sparkly foreigner that Japanese people love. She came to Japan all by herself. Rakita has always adored ninjas and seems to have mistaken Bocchi for a ninja. She has managed to become Bocchi’s ninja apprentice and is training under her. Rakita is also dextrous and is great at making origami.

Kako Kurai

Voice Actor: Kana Ichinose

Kako is Bocchi’s public morals class representative. Her own personal rule for some reason is to not make any friends.

Kai Yawara

Voice Actor: Konomi Kohara

Kai is Bocchi’s childhood friend. She decides to make a promise with Bocchi that before they graduate from middle school, Bocchi has to become friends with all of her classmates or she will break off their friendship.
