Why You Should Watch Inazuma Eleven: Orion no Kokuin

1. Great Characters

So far, the best part of Inazuma Eleven has been its characters. The characters have been great from both a story perspective and design wise. Everyone from series mainstays like Asuto and Ryouhei, to new characters like Hikaru Ichihoshi are great. The characters have gotten some nice development and the new additions to Inazuma Japan have kept everything feeling fresh and interesting.

2. Fun Football Action

Inazuma Eleven: Orion no Kokuin has some fantastic football action that you can't get anywhere else. The moves and strategies and fun and crazy and there are some nice twists to the matches that give this series a unique feeling. While there are a few too many static shots in the middle of the matches, the matches are still one of the best parts of the series.

3. Easy to Get Into

Inazuma Eleven is a series that has received multiple series over the last decade. If you have wanted an easy spot to jump into the series this is the perfect spot to come in. With Inazuma Eleven: Ares no Tenzin being the first anime in the new timeline, there is only one previous series you have to watch to get into this one. The series also does a good job setting up its first few episodes that you can still get a lot of enjoyment out of the series without watching any of the previous series.

Why You Should Skip Inazuma Eleven: Orion no Kokuin

1. The Visuals

One of the best parts of Inazuma Eleven has always been the crazy shonen type moves thrown into a football match. Unfortunately, Inazuma Eleven: Orion no Kokuin is really lacking with its visuals and it takes away from some of the great moments. The action just pack as much of a punch as it does in some of the other entries in the series.

2. The Story

Inazuma Eleven: Orion no Kokuin does little to separate itself from its predecessor and follows many of the same story beats that Inazuma Eleven: Ares no Tenbin had. The few times the anime does try to make some changes and add new characters and ideas to the story they come off as being really cheap and lazy.

Final Thoughts

So far, Inazuma Eleven: Orion no Kokuin has been a pretty good anime. It definitely has some issues that don't seem like they are going away anytime soon, but there is still much to enjoy. If you want some fun and crazy football action on a weekly basis, this might be a great anime for you to check out. What do you think of Inazuma Eleven: Orion no Kokuin?
