Isekai Cheat Magician Introduction and Story

When two high school students are magically transported to another world, they find themselves in a dangerous situation. With magical creatures all around them, childhood friends Taichi Nishimura and Rin Azuma must learn to survive in a world they know nothing about. Fortunately for them, they are rescued by a team of adventurers who directs them towards a guild. The duo must increase their magic skills in order to succeed in this strange and new world. Upon their arrival at the guild however, they are found to have abilities far beyond what they could have ever dreamed. By using these powers, Rin and Taichi try to find a way to live in this world with the ultimate goal of returning to their own.

Why You Should Watch Isekai Cheat Magician

1. The Main Characters

While the main characters may seem rather predictable, they have a refreshing and fun relationship that is carried consistently throughout the anime. Rin and Taichi are relatable characters that can easily be followed and maintain constant character development throughout Isekai Cheat Magician.

2. The Animation

We all have to admit that some anime are simply lazy about their animation. The animation in Isekai Cheat Magician is well done and believable. While it is not gorgeous as some other anime, they take special care to maintain the quality of the animation throughout the anime.

3. Opening Song

The opening song performed by MYTH&ROID is exceptional. It provides the perfect start to get you pumped up for the anime. They may sound familiar as they also performed songs for anime such as Overlord and Boogiepop wa Warawanai.

Why You Should Skip Isekai Cheat Magician

1. It’s Just Another Isekai

There are many isekai anime out there and Isekai Cheat Magician is very formulaic. There are certain aspects that are entertaining, but ultimately, it falls short of a new and interesting isekai.

2. It’s Too Long

While 12 episodes is an average length for an anime in any season, these episodes dragged on. With constant foes that are defeated by Rin and Taichi, it becomes so repetitive that you are almost just waiting for the anime to be over.

3. Reused World Design

It is hard when the worlds of Isekai seem so repetitive. The world in Isekai Cheat Magician seems to copy other anime such as Rise of the Shield Hero and gives the whole anime a feel of being less than imaginative.

Final Thoughts

Overall, if you are looking for an isekai to mindlessly watch Isekai Cheat Magician will do. However, if you are looking for a more interesting anime to get absorbed in, there are many others that will far out do this one such as Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari or Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken. Isekai Cheat Magician is an anime that is simply fine. There is nothing that is particularly special about it but it will do if you want something to put on in the background.
