What You Need to Know:
- The awesome team over at Sekai Project are pleased to be working with Visual Arts/Key again to bring their hit title Rewrite+ to the west for the first time officially in English! The goal for the campaign is 180k and within the first day Sekai Project was able to snag over 25% for funding!
- Originally announced at Anime Expo 2017, the team has been working on the localization of both Rewrite+ and Rewrite Harvest festa! but it has been quite an undertaking in terms of financial cost. Since then, they've spent over $40,000 USD on translation and editing work.
- With that said, there were a number of other unanticipated costs on top of localization. These costs include secondary voice licensing fees that must be paid to the corresponding voice actor agencies for each of the voice actors and actresses involved in each game as well as licensing costs to the parent company, Visual Arts. On top of estimated project management and programming costs on our end, it's no small feat to make Rewrite+ and Rewrite Harvest festa! a reality. So be sure to support the KickStarter !!
