Kazuya Kinoshita is a hopeless university student who meets an elegant and pretty rental-girlfriend named Chizuru Mizuhara. He lies to his family and friends, telling them that Chizuru is his girlfriend.

Kazuya is unable to tell the truth and as he goes about his days, a bunch of transcendently beautiful “girlfriends” start coming into his life. There’s his devilish ex-girlfriend Mami Nanami; Ruka Sarashina, a rental-girlfriend who is overly enthusiastic and slightly pushy; and Chizuru’s junior within the rental company, Sumi Sakurasawa, an extremely shy and timid girl who is also hard working and admirable. All of them make mysterious advances on Kazuya!

After overcoming various events with Chizuru, such as drinking parties, swimming in the sea, a hot spring getaway for Christmas, and New Year’s, Kazuya’s feelings towards her continue to grow. That’s when Chizuru lets out a confession that really shakes up their “relationship.”
