Make 3 Simple Recipes from Genshin Impact in Your Own Home!

genshin-game-700x394 Make 3 Simple Recipes from Genshin Impact in Your Own Home!

Genshin Impact, a free-to-play RPG available on mobile and console, has taken the world by storm since its release last year. It has all the typical elements of an RPG, including plenty of crafting. And that crafting means not just making weapons and potions, but also food! In fact, Genshin Impact even has a cooking mini-game that relies on having good timing and reflexes to create perfect dishes, and the food can have different status-boosting effects based on the character you are playing as when you cook.

While there are a lot of different recipes in Genshin Impact—many of which sound absolutely delicious—we are going to start by looking at three simple ones you can make today right in your own home. Don’t worry, you won’t need to use your pyro skills to light any cooking fires, and your cooking level doesn’t even have to be that high. We will use the ingredients you must have in your inventory in the game to make these dishes (or as close as we can get), so the finished products will be as accurate as possible!

So let’s head to the chicken—err... the kitchen, and get started on three simple Genshin Impact recipes!

1. Fisherman’s Toast (1-2 servings)

Fisherman’s Toast is one of the first recipes you learn in Genshin Impact. It’s really easy to make in real life, too, and more filling and healthy than plain toast. Don’t be fooled by the name; Fisherman’s Toast does not have any fish in it, it’s just enjoyed by fishermen when they’re working!

What you need:

bread
2 slices

your favourite tomato sauce
½ cup

onion, cut and fried in oil
½

shredded cheese
½ cup

How to Cook It:

  1. 1

First, Fisherman’s Toast is toast after all—so you need to toast your slices of bread! You can toast them to your preferred level of darkness.
  2. 2

Warm up your tomato sauce (microwave or stovetop), and spread it evenly on both pieces of toast.
  3. 3

Add fried onions to the top.
  4. 4

Sprinkle shredded cheese. You can also put the toast back into your toaster oven for one minute to melt the cheese a little and make everything nice and crispy.

Yum!

2. Qingce Stir Fry (2 servings)

Qingce Stir Fry is a local dish from the village of Qingce, and the recipe can only be purchased from Ms. Bai—it’ll set you back 5000 mora! Luckily, the ingredients to make it at home shouldn’t be quite as much. With mushrooms, lotus root, and spicy Jueyun (chilli) peppers, Qingce Stir Fry will make you feel like you’re in the mountains of Liyue. Head to your local Asian supermarket to pick up some of these ingredients. We chose a simple Szechuan sauce, but you can also use your own favourite spicy stir fry sauce if you have one.

What you need:

shiitake mushrooms, washed
A handful

lotus root, thinly sliced
½ cup

Tianjin chili peppers (or any available cayenne pepper), diced
3

cabbage, cut into thick pieces
1 cup

Non-flavoured cooking oil

For the Sauce:

soy sauce
¼ cup

maple syrup
2 tbsp

chili garlic sauce
1 tbsp

rice vinegar
1 tbsp

Chinese five-spice powder
½ tsp

red pepper flakes
½ tsp

garlic powder
½ tsp

ginger
½ tsp

Optional Ingredients:

  • 1 cup white rice

How to Cook It:

  1. 1

If you are planning to eat the stir fry with rice (which is not how it is served in the game, but is certainly more filling), prepare your rice on the stovetop or in your rice cooker.
  2. 2

Then, add a small amount of oil to your frying pan. Then add the lotus root and shiitake mushrooms and pan-fry them until they begin to brown.
  3. 3

At the same time, whisk together all the ingredients for the sauce in a mixing bowl and set aside.
  4. 4

Once the mushrooms and lotus root are cooked, remove them from the frying pan and set aside. Add the stir fry sauce to the pan and cook on low heat for about three minutes until it's warm and you can smell it well.
  5. 5

Add the mushrooms, lotus root, peppers (you can add more or less than we recommend based on how spicy you want it). Fry everything together for another five minutes.

  6. 6

Line the sides of your plates with a ring of cabbage leaves. If you are using rice, add the rice to the middle of the plates. Then add the stir-fried veggies to the middle and serve!

Yum!

3. Satisfying Salad (1 serving)

Satisfying Salad is a dish that players can make from the start of the game. It’s more than just a simple salad of vegetables and potatoes—it also has an egg on the top, which is what makes it a satisfying meal. Satisfying Salad increases critical hit rates in Genshin, and in real life has a balance of veggies, fruits, protein, and carbs!

What you need:

cabbage
1 cup

apple
½ red

potato wedges, roasted or prepared according to packaging (if using frozen)
1 cup

egg (Genshin Impact calls for a bird egg; we recommend a chicken), soft-boiled
1

Your favourite salad dressing

How to Cook It:

  1. 1

This recipe is the easiest one yet! First, wash your cabbage and arrange the leaves on your salad plate or bowl.
  2. 2

Next, slice the apple into thick slices and add to the side of the arrangement.
  3. 3

Then, add the cooked potato wedges into the centre (you can always roast your own from a raw potato if you have an oven! Simply coat the wedges in oil, salt, and pepper and cook them until soft).
  4. 4

Finally, slice the soft-boiled egg in half and add to the top. You can add your favourite salad dressing and mix everything together to enjoy—we recommend a simple mix of oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper ourselves, but the choice is yours!

Yum!

Final Thought

We hope that your dishes will make Paimon proud; who are we kidding, of course they will! So the next time you’re setting up a session of Genshin Impact, why not whip up some of these simple recipes and enjoy it in real life while your character eats it in-game? While we can’t guarantee any positive status effects, at the very least you can expect to feel happy, full, and proud of yourself for turning a game recipe into reality. Maybe your cooking skill will even level up!
