- mipon.org, a website that spotlights anime-related locations and events as well as occasional interviews with anime creators, posted today an interview with Jougi Shiraishi, author of Majo no Tabitabi (Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina) in which he went into depth about all things Wandering Witch; from before he wrote it to his opinion of how the anime has turned out.
- The interview is full of insughtful answers like Shiraishi having had given up on being a light novel writer before he wrote Wandering Witch and what he thinks about Elaina's portrayal in the anime. It seems that Elaina's dark side has been downplayed quite a bit!
- Mipon's interview also includes some details on what was cut out of the anime and why, how some of the designs came to be, Shiraishi's favorite characters and locations, and even the author's answer to whether or not Elaina will ever become romantically involved!
