What You Need to Know:
- China usually hides behind a firewall where much of the internet is censored. Google, Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, and Twitter are all banned. Instead, apps that appear to be identical are then sanctioned by their government and heavily monitoried. Not to drag China, but it is common knowledge that they often copy things from outside their country, and then somehow produce it as their own. This process is commonly referred to as copy and paste.
- Well, it seems that even though with seventh generation Pokemon Sun and Moon coming to China in Chinese later this year, Pokemon GO is just not coming to China legally. Well, that is changing as now China has their own verison of Pokemon GO called "山海経GO" or Sengaikyou GO! in China. Pictures are below.
- Being an exact copy of the game Pokemon GO, users can capture Chinese creatures of folklore by tossing what apear to be rings, instead of Pokeballs, around the necks of these monsters. The app is an exact copy of Pokemon GO no matter how you look at it.
- All of the menu buttons are in the same places as well as you being able to capture these creatures in AR. The one thing they seemed to miss though, was getting rid of the Gyarados on the front of the loading screen... see below for yourself. Don't hurt yourself from laughing too hard or give yourself whiplash for nodding in agreement with what the Japanese Otaku have to say.
