Synopsis
Unable to fulfill his goal of saving everyone, Subaru Natsuki loses his friends before his eyes. No matter how many times he revives using “Return by Death,” he is unable to figure out what is going on in Roswaal’s Mansion or why Emilia repeatedly takes the lives of Subaru and everyone in the mansion.
Meanwhile, he is invited to the Witches’ Tea Party by the Witch of Greed, Echidna. Subaru gradually comes to rely on Echidna, as she learns of his power and gives him helpful advice.

Subaru takes Emilia’s place in the trials and almost despairs halfway through, but with the advice of the one who loves him most and is hardest on him, he resolves to once again save everyone in the Sanctuary and Roswaal’s Mansion.
In order to encourage him, Echidna offers him a certain contract, but Subaru sees her true intentions and refuses it.
As the true identities of Roswaal and the witches are revealed, Subaru must once again confront destiny.

Subaru Natsuki: Yusuke Kobayashi
The ignorant, incompetent, powerless, and reckless hero of the title. One day, he is suddenly summoned to another world and is at the mercy of the incomprehensible situation. With his fearless nature and brazenness, he faces his harsh fate, while whining about the adversity every now and then.
Emilia: Rie Takahashi
A beautiful half-elf girl with the same silver hair and purple eyes as the Witch of Envy, who once almost destroyed the world. Though she is kind-hearted and caring, she doesn't admit it for some reason. She is accompanied by a small cat-like spirit called Pack, and is one of the candidates for the royal election to determine the next king of the Kingdom of Lugnica.
Rem: Inori Minase
A maid girl who takes care of all the general chores at Rosewall's mansion. Thanks to her skills, the mansion keeps functioning. She is a survivor of one of the most powerful demihumans, the Oni race, and she admires her twin sister Ram.
Ram: Rie Murakawa
She is Rem's twin sister and, like Rem, she works at Rosewall's mansion as a maid. However, her cooking, laundry, sewing, cleaning, and all other skills are inferior to her sister. She used to be a prodigy of the Oni race with unparalleled power, but now that she has lost her horns, her power has been lost too.
Beatrice: Satomi Arai
A spirit in the form of a young girl who works as a librarian in the forbidden library of Rosewall's mansion. Her lovely appearance and gorgeous dress give people the impression of looking like a fairy. Though she acts self-centered, she actually feels lonely, but can't express her feelings honestly. She refers to Pack as "Niicha", and is affectionate toward him.
Roswaal L Mathers: Takehito Koyasu
A margrave and influential nobleman of the Kingdom of Lugnica who serves as Emilia’s guardian in the Royal Selection. He is considered one of the most powerful mages in the kingdom, but his eccentricities and clownish makeup distract from his honorable title and abundant talent.
Otto Suwen: Kouhei Amazaki
A young, quick-witted man who was “blessed” with the Divine Protection of Soul Language, which allows him to hear voices and communicate with non-human beings. He is a traveling peddler and a gifted merchant but is fatally unlucky. His ordeal began when he jumped at a lucrative story he overheard while traveling on Leafaus Road.
Echidna: Maaya Sakamoto
A mysterious beauty that Subaru encounters. She wears a pitch black dress and has snow white hair. She invites Subaru to a tea party that will change his fate...
