Synopsis
In the distant future, humans live shoulder-to-shoulder in underground colonies that are separated by bedrock.
Outside of the colonies lies the Labyrinth, a dangerous and expansive uncharted zone. There are those who are pioneers and risk their lives to develop and chart the Labyrinth. They are known as Markers.
The story follows a young girl by the name of Memempu and her father, Gagumber, a former Marker.
Together, this odd father and daughter pair take on the Labyrinth!

Memempu: Kanon Amaki
A genius girl at the tender age of nine who has already graduated from college. She’s brimming with curiosity and her hobbies are reconstructing robots and inventing new machines. Memempu has an excellent sense of direction and understanding of space, which she uses to help her father with his mining work. Ever since she can remember, she’s had the same recurring dream of a particular landscape. In order to discover that place in her dream, she aspires to be a Marker.
Gagumber: Hiroki Touchi
A single father raising Memempu. He makes a living as a Worker, someone who does manual labor with a workbot. He’s a stereotypical good-for-nothing dad who likes drinking, gambling, and noodles and is a sucker for beautiful women. However, he used to be a highly skilled Marker, earning the nickname “Gale-force Gagumber”.
Zackletu: Kana Hanasawa
A female Marker chasing after Memempu and Gagumber. She’s an expert in motorcycles and guns, and is also physically strong. Contrary to her cool and open-minded attitude, she’s actually quite the cheapskate. She seems to have had a close relationship with Gagumber in the past.
Yuri: Toshiyuki Toyonaga
The leader of a group of juvenile delinquents who live in the slums of the Array Yar colony. Even though he’s not into studying, he’s a first-class hacker and has obtained information about Array Yar. He has an innocent personality, is good at looking after others, and treats everyone the same, regardless of who they are or where they come from.
Merooro: Yoshimasa Hosoya
A staff member who works for the Control Agency. He has a wide range of knowledge, from how to make the perfect cup of black tea to plant and animal life. He’s always dressed to perfection in a three-piece suit. Merooro is a gentle-mannered man, but Gagumber is wary of him and refers to him as “that grinning spiv.”
