What You Need to Know:
- It has been announced that Yuki Kodama's hit music manga Sakamichi no Appollon (Kids on the Slope) will be getting a live-action movie adaptation, set to premiere in Japan sometime in 2018. It will be directed by Takahiro Miki, with script by Izumi Takahashi.
- The manga was serialised from 2009 to 2012, with nine volumes published in total, and received an anime adaptation in spring 2012.
- The three main cast members for the live action have also been announced. Kaoru Nishimi will be played by Hey! Say! JUMP's Yuri Chinen, Sentarou Kawabuchi by Taishi Nakagawa, and Ritsuko Mukae by Nana Komatsu.

Hmm, I wouldn't get your hopes up. I'm going to wait until there's a PV before I decide whether or not I'll watch it.
