Our samurai have survived the tournament and celebrations are in order for Hachimaru being the last one to now face the tournament organizer. While our young samurai wishes he could face down his master--though we doubt even he could win against Daruma--Hachimaru settles for this unknown warrior and waits for the upcoming battle. Unfortunately, behind the scenes, we see something is slightly off with this grand finale. A sniper is set up with his sights directly on our samurai and a plan seems to be in motion! The organizer arrives and Hachimaru stands ready to counter his offer of the money in favor of the so-called keyholder to join him in saving the world. During this whole process, a surprise voice breaks through the negotiation and we learn the ship's AI has scanned the samurai organizer as a fraud! This giant samurai isn't a keyholder but instead, a wanted criminal and we come to the realization that he set this tournament up to take down any samurai who would ultimately be the last one standing. Hachimaru readies himself for a fight but the sniper takes a shot and our chapter ends with Kotsuga running to protect a wide open Ann! Will our bandit samurai end up getting hurt in the process of showing some heroism? Can Hachimaru take down this huge behemoth of a samurai!? Chapter 25 of Samurai 8: Hachimaru Den certainly has given us some questions we need answered but, till those answers come, forth let's sit back and talk about how awesome this chapter was!
1. A Big Surprise…
Deep in our minds, we had a sneaky suspicion that this tournament wasn't legit. Yet, like Hachimaru, maybe we wanted this to be an honest tournament to show Hachimaru's growth as a samurai and help him gain a new ally. Unfortunately, we were right in our initial thoughts and now Hachimaru and his team are going to have to face down a giant samurai criminal and a sniper in the shadows…
2. Wide Open!!!
Hachimaru just learned that his number one duty as a samurai is to protect his princess and he even apologized to Ann for leaving her defenseless. Once again though Ann is wide open and it seems Kotsuga might need to take a literal bullet to keep her safe! Hopefully, this sniper isn't too accurate and our heroes don't lose a new ally!
Final Thoughts
Samurai 8: Hachimaru Den 25th chapter was pretty exciting! Hachimaru and friends now are on the defensive as this tournament has shown its true colors! Can our heroes survive this new threat?
