Rei Kiriyama lost his parents long ago as a child. He bears a heavy loneliness in his heart and currently at 17 years old, is a professional shogi player. Rei lives in Shitamachi in Tokyo and meets the three Kawamoto sisters Akari, Hinata, and Momo. Little by little, he starts to change.

Rei is the protagonist of this story. He is a professional shogi player and he lives alone in Rokugatsu-cho. Unused to his surroundings he lives a life of isolation.

Akari Kawamoto

Voice Actor: Ai Kayano

Akari is the oldest of the three Kawamoto sisters who live in Sangatsu-cho. She is the central support system of the Kawamoto family. She is proficient at cooking and she excels at taking care of others.

Hinata Kawamoto

Voice Actor: Kana Hanazawa

Hinata is the second of the three Kawamoto sisters. She is a second year middle school student who tries very hard and has a bright personality. She is not as good as her older sister Akari at cooking.

Momo Kawamoto

Voice Actor: Misaki Kuno

Momo is the youngest of the three Kawamoto sisters. She goes to nursery school and loves Rei. She is a bit of a crybaby.
