Synopsis

“Starlight” is a revue of song and dance loved worldwide.

Karen and Hikari had their hearts stolen by this stage and when they were young, they made a promise to each other. “Someday, the two of us will absolutely stand on that stage together!”

Time marches on, and Karen Aijou is 16 years old and zealously attends lessons while keeping the promise she made in mind. Karen Aijou was separated from Hikari Kagura when they were young, and one day, Hikari transfers into her school. This reunion begins to move the cogs of fate. The curtain then rises on a mysterious audition. “Do you want to be the top star?” Those who pass are given control to shine as the role of the top star. However, only one person can get this role and control the battle royale of a stage performance known as “Revue”.

Karen and Hikari, along with the other chosen “stage girls” will participate in this mysterious Revue while chasing after their own dreams.

Dreams that surge forward. Burning passions. Dreams that cannot be given up on.
“E-even if it comes down to me having to go against her!”

The curtain rises here and now on this mixture of comedy and tragedy known as “Revue Starlight”.

After having her heart stolen by a revue she saw called ‘Starlight’, she herself rushed to the stage to become a theater girl. She’s always upbeat and has a great voice, but she’s terrible at waking up for early morning lessons. After their fateful encounter when they were children, both she and Hikari will participate in a mysterious revue.

Hikari Kagura

Hikari is Karen’s childhood best friend. Due to her attending a British school of performing arts, she is a genius at performing on stage. After seeing the revue ‘Starlight’ with Karen, both realized their destinies. Later on, she reconnects with Karen and participates in the mysterious revue as if she is chasing after something.

Maya Tendou

Voice Actor: Maho Tomita


Maaya is a thoroughbred in the performance world due to having an extremely famous actor for her father and a mother who is a primadonna. Maya has a wonderful body and an impressive vocal range. She is blessed with natural talent and never one to rest on her own laurels, she aims for an even higher spot continuing to work hard and stand alone.

Junna Hoshimi

Voice Actor: Hinata Satou


Junna is an honors student who is also the first year student council president. Excelling at both judgement and analysis, this also means that she can overthink things. She overcame both her parents’ opposition to her performing and chose the path of performance, but she too worried about the difference between herself and Maya’s raw ability and talent.

Mahiru Tsuyuzaki

Mahiru is a performer who, when on stage, is a vibrant singer and dancer, but when she’s not on the stage, she’s rather quiet and reserved. She’s Karen’s roommate and has always looks up to her brightness and positive mindset. However, when Hikari appears as Karen’s childhood friend, Mahiru has mixed feelings about it...

Nana possesses an incredible is the motherlike performer for all of the students of the 99 class. Her nickname is ‘banana’. She is not only skilled at song and dance, she also has an excellent talent for stage performance. Her favorite performance is still the show that everyone did of ‘Starlight’ when they were first year students.

Caludine Saijou

Claudine is half-Japanese having a French mother and a Japanese father. She is overflowing with talent, and has performed on stage countless times as a child actress. However when she entered the school, she met the overwhelmingly radiant existence that is Maya, and ever since then she has viewed her as her rival.

Futaba Isurugi

Voice Actor: Teru Ikuta


Futaba is Kaoruko's childhood friend and has followed her into Seishou Musical Academy as a performance girl. She’s foulmouthed, but kind at heart. While complaining, she is always putting Kaoruko first. She’s short in stature, but has excellent physical prowess. She has been trained in actual combat fighting and excels at it.

Kaoruko Hanayagi

Voice Actor: Ayasa Itou


Kaoruko is the granddaughter of the head of the school of Japanese dance. She naturally possesses preeminence in both song and dance. A natural, well-to-do young lady, she relies on Futaba to do just about everything for her. She’s always got a smile painted on her face, but she is actually the most shrewd person in the room. Her characteristic is her lively Kyoto dialect.
