Synopsis
Neku awakens in the middle of Shibuya’s bustling Scramble Crossing with no memory of how he got there. Little does he know he’s been transported to an alternate plane of existence known as the Underground (UG). Now an unwilling participant in the mysterious “Reapers’ Game,” Neku must partner up with a girl named Shiki in order to survive. Together, they complete missions and defeat monsters known as “Noise” as they gradually uncover the true nature of this twisted game.
“There’s only one way to stay alive in Shibuya: trust your partner.”

SHIKI / Shiki Misaki: Anna Hachimine
A stylish 15-year-old focused on always staying fashion-forward. She carries her handmade cat plushie with her wherever she goes.
BEAT / Bito Daisukenojou: Subaru Kimura
A 15-year-old hot-blooded, hard-headed teenager who suddenly shows up with his partner Rhyme. The reason he comes to the Underground is shrouded in mystery.
RHYME / ? (Her true name is not identified): Ayana Taketatsu
A devout and earnest girl with a perpetual smile on her face. Wherever Beat goes, she follows.
JOSHUA / Yoshiya Kiryu: Ryohei Kimura
A cheeky, mysterious boy with a condescending attitude. Though he seems knowledgeable and reliable, there’s also a side of him that cannot be trusted.

He runs a cafe in Shibuya and often advises Neku and his friends. He seems to monitor the Reapers’ Game, but...?
YASHIRO / Uzuki Yashiro: Satomi Arai
Yashiro is 17 years old and a bit of a scatterbrain. When around Neku and the others she always acts superior, but within the organization she’s actually quite low level.
KARIYA / Kouki Kariya: Anri Katsu
Kariya is a carefree, sports-minded guy who often acts like an older brother. He always hangs out with Yashiro. He’s a typical guy with high self-worth, but he also takes pride in his work.
HIGASHIZAWA / Youdai Higashizawa: Kenji Takahashi
An adolescent having big muscular body. He has so big power, as he seems, that he can break the ground by his own power. On the other hand, he has an aspect that he tends to be swept away by emotions.
MINAMIMOTO / Shou Minamimoto: Takayuki Fujimoto
Minamimoto is a coldhearted, violent, 18 year old guy, but he’s also very intelligent. In the past he’s done very well for himself and gotten far in the game.
KONISHI / Mitsuki Konishi: Hitomi Nabatame
Contrary to how she looks, Konishi has a rather high level in the game. She’s the one who gives Neku and the others their missions, but she seldom appears before them.
KITANIJI / Megumi Kitaniji: Hirotsugu Shirokuma
Kitaniji is one of the game conductors and thus one of those with the highest rank in the game. He has very particular preferences, and is the type to only move towards his goal once he's developed a strategy. He thinks he’s the most talented of all participants.
