So far, we’ve been introduced to some of the states neighbouring the Jura Tempest Federation, including the human Kingdom of Falmuth, with whom Tempest is at war. After losing several beloved citizens and friends in the conflict, Rimuru is overcome with grief.

However, after hearing the fairy tale of a dragon princess who revived her dragon companion after becoming a True Demon Lord, Rimuru’s hopes for seeing Shion and the others alive are reignited. In the visual re-enactments of this fairy tale, the pink-haired dragon princess. Who is this Demon Lord and how reliable is the information found in this fairy tale? Let’s review the facts and try to piece together the events in the latest episodes of Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken (That Time I Got Reincarnated As a Slime) Season 2!

The Story of the Dragon Princess

In the fairy tale told to Rimuru by Eren and later recapped by Rimuru himself, the Dragon Princess was born from the union between a human and a dragon. Her father created a dragon companion for her in his image, but the little dragon is killed. In a grieving rage, the little girl uses the powers she inherited from her father to raze the kingdom to the ground, killing upwards of ten thousand people. As a result, she evolves to True Demon Lord status and uses her new power to revive her dead companion. To her dismay; however, the little dragon returned as a raging monster devoid of a soul, forcing the Dragon Princess into her first battle as a Demon Lord. After the battle, she takes up the throne of her parents’ kingdom.

Suspects?

We aren’t given the identity of the Dragon Princess, nor are we told exactly what kingdom this was; however, we still have more than enough information to piece together her identity. The visuals during the telling of the fairy tale depicted a young woman with pink hair, which she later fashioned into a pair of long ponytails on either side of her head. She is also briefly shown in combat against her dragon companion, sporting a striped thigh-length sock.

The only character we know of who fits the parameters of being a Demon Lord, wearing a striped thigh-length sock and rocking pink ponytails is none other than the hyperactive and extra-powerful Demon Lord Milim! With That Time I Got Reincarnated As a Slime Season 2 bringing up a lot more of the lore of this world than its predecessor, it’s highly possible that Milim’s backstory could be presented to us in this way! The other clue we have is Milim’s scheduled war against the Tempest-allied Eurazania, the reasons for which are still unknown.

Final Thoughts

This far into the second season of That Time I Got Reincarnated As a Slime and it seems that we still know very little about this world! What we do know; however, is that only current or soon-to-be Demon Lords are capable of waging war on an entire nation by themselves and it being a disaster worthy of a citizens’ evacuation! Does Milim have experience with this kind of thing? Can Rimuru follow the lead of the Dragon Princess and revive his dead friends? We’ll soon find out in this exciting season of That Time I Got Reincarnated As a Slime!

I’m South African, harbouring an obsession for anything remotely related to Japan, mostly anime, of course. I draw sometimes. Some people call me Naledi, it’s my real name, or something like that. People think I’m stoic because I don’t smile often (I do sometimes). I like languages. Hoshi-kun and Naledi are the same side of the same coin.
