Well this looks pretty epic! A collaboration between Stan Lee and Studio DEEN spells awesome to me.

It looks more like western superhero cartoons, but it's done by Studio DEEN. Interesting! I wonder if this will be as popular as RWBY?

With the concept of people suddenly getting powers and fighting the enemy, doesn't it remind you of Boku no Hero Academia and One-Punch Man?

If it's half as good as those then we're in for a real treat! If you love western comic books and cartoons and Japanese manga and anime, this is definitely one not to miss out on!

The whole world has been struck by a huge, mysterious disaster. This phenomenon, known as the ‘Reflection’, took innumerable lives, but gave a special type of ‘power’ to those who survived.

Three years passed. At the New York memorial ceremony, said ‘power’ strikes humanity in the form of terrorism. What stood in the way of those with power who had be tainted with darkness? Exon, a masked man whose true identity is unknown; Aigai, who wears a huge metallic suit; Eleanor, a girl who follows Exon and puts herself at risk in battle.

Why did the Reflection happen? Why did they bare their fangs at humanity? These mysteries are about to be solved…

Three Episode Impression

The Reflection was made in part by Stan Lee, yes that Stan Lee. If I had to say something in specific that is the best part of the show, is that the ED is great as it is actually pretty catchy and fun. I may start listening to 9nine now. The show itself though moves incredibly slow and the pacing does not seem to be picking up too much till the third episode. Now we are getting development. If there were plusses to mention, it would be that the art is rather unique in a good way, and the powers are definitely something to look forward to. However, there is not much movement and music is constantly played as if it making the show move forward rather than dialogue. In fact, there is a lot of just dead space in the series. I don’t know if Stan Lee was afraid to exert too much influence on the work or if he did too much, but fans of Marvel will either eat this up or dismiss it as a cartoon-esque anime. The best suggestion is to try out the anime for yourself!
